Hello I just found this forum.

I have been making jewelry for the past 5 years. The first pair are made with Swarovski Amethyst and Lt. Amethyst crystals, sterling silver beads, sterling silver bead caps and sterling silver french hooks. Second pair is made with Swarovski pearls, Swarovski Crystal AB and sterling silver french hooks. I also make necklaces, bracelets and anklets. I love making jewelry.

Those are both very beautiful pieces of art. I just got into beading myself, so I didn't want to go near the Swarovski crystals. You did an excellent job. Do you generate any kind of income or do you just do it for fun and/or gifts, etc.?

I don't know that I could come close to making such a beautiful piece as of yet. I've still got some work to do. BRAVO!!

eightthirty, When I started it was for fun, for myself and gifts, then one day my Dr. (went in for the yearly checkup) said she liked my bracelet, I thanked and told her I made it, before my visit was through she ordered 2 of them, then I decided to make and sell them, for 2 years I sold at craft fairs (spent at least 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for 3 months (every year) for 2 craft fairs a year), I really do not have the time I use to, so now I pretty much make stuff for myself, gifts and if a family member or friend wants/needs something.

Right now, I mainly work with Swarovski crystals and sterling silver, but I love making stuff with stone beads (goldstone, jasper, quartz, agate, moonstone, ect) and I also love putting both together.

eightthirty, I saw your earrings in another thread, you are doing great, I did not do earrings when I first started, I would not have known how to, everything I have done, I taught myself along the way, I just kept coming up with a new idea, and here I am.

I will post pictures of some necklaces and bracelets I made as soon as I can.

Jacki, That is so sweet of you! Thank you for the lovely comments. I can't believe I am just now seeing your reply. It's nice to know if I invest a little money here and there, all it takes is one person spotting my design. I just learned about a site for selling (and buying) hand crafted goods called Etsy. I learned of it on MUT!!
