Yeah, pretty amazing huh? But i'll spend the next 6 months in debt with mom for that, LOL.

I bought on the internet this model: Elgin JX4000 (yeah, here in Brazil Elgin still exists!)



It's pretty basic, but it's good to learn; the only thing is that it'll only arrive next month, so i'm already having buyer's remorse.

But i'm sure i'll love it.

Neat! i have one but its a very old model but it works AWESOME, sewing is a lot of fun! Enjoy it and have lots of fun with it

I have some old pattern books from Lutterloh that i'd like to try making (from the 60's), but i think i need their special rule in order to make the patterns better (they're miniaturized , and you have to scale back to your size their patterns)

I think you'd like some girl's dresses that exist on it for your little girl!

Oh wow you have to scale the models, that sounds kinda hard to do.
I would love to make some clothes for my kids, unfortunately, i really don't have the time, and mostly because they are still little, they'd want to grab all the stuff that i'd have to make their stuff with and i would go even more crazy lol, now, a sewing room would be great cause this apartment is SO small, only one bedroom so it kinda sucks that way.

oh man, I hear you on the expense! I wanted a really cheap one, on the US target website they have one for $50, pink, hello kitty. I almost died - we don't have ANYTHING like that here! mum said I can use hers though, but it's still pretty complicated for me, even though it's not a really difficult one...

I love the really 1950s dresses with the small waists and circle skirts.. I'd love to make one, it'd be so much fun!

Mine was 469 reais, which is not cheap , but i'm gonna pay in 6 parts - also, i'm gonna split the cost with my sister and my mom.

I have 9 (working) sewing machines! It's an addiction. My favorite machine by far is the Juki (Japanese made). My cheaper Bernina ($2,500 so not that cheap, haha!) is pretty sweet too!
