What are your winter knitting/crocheting projects?

I'm working on two boucle scarves (1 black, 1 cream), one boucle cowl (blue/purple/green multi combo), and one brown scarf (for the Orphan Foundation of America's "Red Scarf Project"--you're allowed to knit other colors). What are you knitting this winter?

Nothing... None... Never learned hot to knit, and I've always sucked at crocheting LOL!

I'm knitting a pair of slippers for my mom, and trying to teach myself to crochet. We'll see how that goes!

Re: What are your winter knitting/crocheting projects?

When I was little my mom taught me how to knit - very basically though. All I could ever do was long, thin strips. It kept me occupied though.

Re: What are your winter knitting/crocheting projects?

I have just recently taken up knitting so i am in the process of making my first pink scarf - bit touch and go as it lies beside me for days untouched at times!

Re: What are your winter knitting/crocheting projects?

It's not exactly knitting (it's hard for me to learn because I'm a lefty!) but I love to cross stitch, this is the last thing I made! It was one of my boyfriend's xmas presents!

I turned a picture of us into a pattern!

Oh Mozkitten, WOW! That is so impressive!!
I am going to take up cross stitching soon, I am making something for my step sister who's getting married this summer.
Right now I'm knitting a loose, wrap-around scarf-style sweater in mohair.

Re: What are your winter knitting/crocheting projects?

Thank you I feel pretty proud of it!

Cross-stitching makes the time go by fast! Although sometimes I quit my projects because I spend so much time on them and then I get bored :-s

Re: What are your winter knitting/crocheting projects?

i taught myself to knit years ago, and got pretty good but then i just put down the needles and randomly made a scarf here and there (nothing special at all).
but recently i've been trying to pick up new hobbies, and my husband suggested i get back into knitting.
we bought some new supplies today and i'm going to ATTEMPT a vest for him (i think he wants it for some Ren Fair type of dealio)
hopefully i'll remember all my little tricks and whatnot

after that i'll probably relearn how to crochet
my aunt taught me a few years ago and it just didnt stick
i guess if i teach myself, it'll be easier to recall
i mean, i went a couple years without knitting and picked most of it right back up.

good luck and have fun to all of you on your projects!!

K, so its not winter, but i am crocheting something right now. A friend of mine at work is pregnant and I'm making her an unconventional baby blanket.
