First, I'm seriously sorry if this post is in the wrong forum, I don't have access to the Adult Forum yet (I just applied, but I don't know how long it'll take to approve)!

To cut a long story short:

I've been taking my pill correctly for the whole week, and I had sex with my boyfriend on Friday and Saturday. However, today is Sunday and I haven't taken it because I left it at his house (gahhh!). I know that sperm stay in your system for three days, so is it poss. that I could get pregnant? I haven't got any more left, because my bleed week starts tomorrow and I haven't renewed my prescription from the doctor's.

Please help me, I'm freaking out!!

essentially no, you shouldn't become pregnant because the drug takes quite a while to leave your body. that is why, even when you're on your period, you shouldn't get pregnant because your body still has low levels of the hormone left over.

That being said, anything is possible. Did you use protection? If not, you can always go and get the morning after pill (up to 72 hours after you had sex) and you should be right.

I'm sure you'll be ok but if you're super paranoid like me then you might like to get the morning after pill (some countries have it over the counter, others you need to speak to your doctor first)

I think what Rosie said is correct, but remember 1 thing - pill isn't 100% safe, so it's good to use 2 types of protection, to keep it safe.

Get down to Boots or Superdrug and get emergency contraception if you're worried. Both places have it over the counter. However, you need to take it within 72 hours of unprotected sex.

well an important question is: had you been taking the pill consistently before you missed this weekend? if this is your first week of taking birth control pills (you just started) then you're not protected and you need to get emergency contraceptive asap. if you've been taking it for a few months, then most likely you're protected but just to be safe you might want to take an emergency contraceptive.

I've been taking it for three weeks (the pill I take, you take it daily for three weeks and then leave it for a week), and it's only today I've forgotten it. God, it's such a gamble - I can't get to the pharmacy or anything. Gahh!

Dont panic missing 1 day will not affect you too much unless you are a very unlucky girl, missing one day probably wont release an egg since the hormones are well embeded into your system still.

But i've had this happen A LOT, when i was in college i used to go to my boyfriends house all the time and sleep over on the weekends and he would bring me back to my dorm on the weekdays, so naturally i would take my birthcontrol pills with me, but sometimes i forget it at his house!! And its a 2 hour drive from my school to the dorm. So what i did was i told my doctor i needed 2 birthcontrol circular pill thingys i keep one at my dorm and another one at home(for emergency i always have to know which color pills i take each day) and i always carry one with me, so i always have a back up. And he gave me 2 for free too! im really forgetful and those emergency pills probably prevented me from getting pregnant.

I got them back this morning (my sister drove me, God love her) and took it straight away- let's hope, eh?

You should be fine, try not to panic too much. I've missed a pill before, it takes awhile for it to leave your system, but if you are really worried, like the others have suggested, get the morning after pill.

As long as you're consistent, missing one day usually isnt that big of a deal... Just dont let it happen often.
