I am watching an infomercial right now for a new product called ANSR sold on ansr.com They sell an acne kit that comes with a phototherapy laser beam. The blue light is supposed to kill the bacteria, and I think the red light is supposed to repair the skin.

Here is a picture...




Has anyone heard of or tried this?

It sounds good, but they all do!

Okay, I just went on the website, and their 30 day free trial lets you pay only the $10.95 shipping charge for now, then you are billed $99.95 if you dont send it back within 30 days. So what the heck, I'll try it.

They also have a few other options, like you can choose 3 payments of $33.00 OR $99.95 with free shipping OR you can choose to buy the system outright for $159.95 with no future billing. But they all still offer 30 days to try it out.

Oh! I did my glycolic peel on Tuesday and it went well! I just did another today. Shame on me, I couldn't wait! I want results NOW!! LOL

Perhaps I should post that in the Glycolic Peel forum. LOL

What I know about light therapy is that you have to direct the light on each pimple for very long periods of time - and the results are quite marginal.
This isn't a breakthrough product - there have been others marketed over the years.

Be careful with the peels. Your new meds can be very drying so your skin can get easily irritated. The peels will only aggravate the situation instead of help.

Yeah, Im thinking about holding off on the Differin for a while to see how the peel works since I had pretty good results. Im so frustrated I dont know what to do first!

I also haven't started the Bactrim yet since I read bad things about sulfa drugs. Something about Stephen Johnson's Syndrome.

Have you ever heard of Tamanu Oil? I also have that on the way. lol

Also, have you known any of the laser beams for everyday use to be successful?

It does sound like the phototherapy might help with acne. My only concerns
would be the strength of the light wave: would it be adequate enough, and if I had to hold the light for long periods on the same spot, to get results.

I don't put any oil on my face so the Tamanu oil doesn't appeal to me - it may work great so I'm not knocking it. A lot of MUTers really like coconut oil. There are quite a few threads that have info on coconut oil.
