Re: Is it ok...

I say yes to both also.

If you're concerned about redness and swelling in the area of the pimple, put some toothpaste on it, let it dry, and wash off. It will soothe the area

Re: Is it ok...

Before you go and apply toothpaste to your skin it should be known that if you have sensitive skin it can only make things worse. I have found two articles that reference toothpaste as shown HERE and HERE Also, don't forget to use a mild/gentle cleanser when washing your face.

Re: Is it ok...

If you suffer from acne the best thing is to use gentle products .. like a gentle face wash and anti-acne products. I am not sure, but in my opinion using a mask can only block pores more and make your problem worse ... You could see a dermatologist for this problem. Good luck!

Yes to both also

When I have some pimples and put on a mask it helps to get rid off them, at least I feel it helps them move along faster...

Re: Is it ok...

Of course you can do a mask, it deep cleanses the pores so i believe it helps dealing with pimples/zits. Use gentle products, and yes, better cleanse your face before you apply the mask. Don't forget the moisturizer after

Re: Is it ok...

Acne and purifying masks are great for when you're breaking out because they help control your oil and reduce any blemishes. Avoid moisturizing masks, though, because they can add excess moisture that your face does not need and make your blemishes worse.

Cleanse, exfoliate, apply toner, apply your mask, rinse with warm water, apply toner again, and follower with any serums, moisturizers, acne treatments, or eye creams that you normally use.

Re: Is it ok...

Steam before you mask and apply an oil free/acne fighting moisturizer (something with salicylic acid) after you mask!

Both Faith and Felita give good advice.

Absolutely you could do both

Re: Is it ok...

Just make sure it's a mask made for your skin type. Or better yet, make your own. I use an aspirin mask and it really helps heal pimples fast. Try not to use too many drying products before or after or you could risk overdrying the area and causing an infection or worse, scarring. Just be gentle. =)
