Re: Avon Mineral Makeup

I have their radiance blush, and I love it! I've yet to try their foundation though.

Re: Avon Mineral Makeup

I'm too scare that they just jumped the bandwagon with everyone else. my sister in law ordered a blush so i'll see how that comes out.

Re: Avon Mineral Makeup

Sounds like yet another "everyone wants mineral makeup, so we'll make our usual stuff look like mineral makeup and slap the word 'mineral' on it so they'll buy it" like all the other big-name companies have been doing.

Aside from the "dreaded bismuth oxycloride", I'm more concerned about the urea, parabens, and synthetic "vitamins". Bleah.

Re: Avon Mineral Makeup

I have to say that I'm not a big fan of the foundation. I have an eyeshadow around here somewhere that I haven't tried yet but the foundation didn't match me at all in color (though they've added a few more colors recently I believe) and was just all around horrible IMHO. I love avon in general - their skincare and makeup has gotten pretty good for in between drugstore and high end stuff. But personally I can't recommend the mineral foundation.

Everybody's jumping on the mineral bandwagon can't say that it's necessarily a good thing when it's usually not really mineral makeup. At least it's spreading the word though and maybe people will go out there and get 'real' mineral makeup

Re: Avon Mineral Makeup

There is a woman over at the Delphi Mineral Makeup Mania forum who was an Everyday Mineral User and switched to the Avon mineral makeup and claims to like it much more. I've seen pictures of her with the makeup from both brands on and I have to admit the Avon looks better on her.
