Color Match and Eyeshadow Question

Hi Ladies,
I had a question- I wanted to switch to Oceanmist from BE(wich made me itch and break out). I wear fairly light in BE, would anybody know what shade that would match to in oceanmist?? I ordered some samples a lil while ago, used them up and forgot to write down the right shade ( . Also how good is the staying power of mineral eyeshadows compared to say.. mac?. Ive been wanting to give frynniae a try but am not sure on how well they'll stay on...

Re: Color Match and Eyeshadow Question

Can you tell us about your undertones? I wore Fairly Light in BE but it wasn't a good color for me but it was the closest I could get. In Oceanmist, I ordered Petal and Linen. I pretty much just wear the Petal.

Re: Color Match and Eyeshadow Question

My undertones are weird, Im more yellow than pink, although I do have redness in my cheeks and nose. I tend to stay away from cooler foundations because they do not match my neck and make me look ashy.. I have tried linen and sunsilk but am not sure wich one would be closest to faily light out of the two, and faily light matched me well.

I'm the same as you -it's very confusing and annoying good luck finding something that not only matches but looks good too!

then you should match your neck, and maybe look more into "neutral" shades?

Fyrrinnae and Taylormade eyeshadows stay on very very well. The prices and varieties available are excellent too!

Since you ordered from the owner before just contact her again. Even if she doesn't have a record of your previous order she can color guide you to a foundation selection. She's excellent with responding rapidly to emails. HTH

There should be a record of your purchase on the site.If you used Paypal it would be there too.

Re: Color Match and Eyeshadow Question

you sound like me, I have some pink undertones, but more yellow than pink

I try to use yellow foundations, did you ever try light in BE? They told me at ulta that I should wear fairly light, but it was way too pink for me, so I ended up using light & it looks great on me.

I would say to try buttermilk, lilia, & dandelion though.

Re: Color Match and Eyeshadow Question

Fishchick- I have used the light from BE, I used up the whole thing but when winter rolled around I actually looked a lot better in the fairly light. But i definatley agree on using the more yellow tones, I feel like i look more natural whereas the peachy/pink foundations give my skin some weird orange cast.

Newyorlatin- I think youre right, Ill just email oceanmist and ask her for advice directly...

Thanx all!
