15 Crush Groove MMU?

As many of you may know I've been moaning and whining about my acne and acne scars for a while now. To this end I've been searching for the MMU that will help me and cover it WELL. Tonight I was dong some more research and came up with Crush Groove Minerals. (<= link if you're interested in checking it out). The creator Jenique Bell reports having had horrible acne, scars and other skin conditions prior to developing her own MMU line. No, I am not affiliated with this MU in anyway, I just found it in a google search for MMU comparisons. Someone had linked it in a link I followed.

Anyway, because of her holistic vegan lifestyle, her line doesn't include any animal by products and she doesn't test on animals (I knew momo would like that). Also, it doesn't include talc, titanium dioxide, bismuth or mica. I'm considering ordering samples...only I can't figure out how to. lol I just emailed the owner/developer and asked for her help with the samples and with choosing some colors. Right now, I think I would need the Praline or Tahini in yellow tones. Hopefully the costumer service is good and she'll get back to me.

My whole point for starting this thread though (lol, I sorta got side tracked) was to see if anyone else had heard of it and/or tried it. I did a search and came up with nothing...but I've had that happen to me before on topics that I was certain had already been discussed. So, ever heard of it?

If anyone is interested, her color range is varied enough to cover all skin colors across races, at least that's what the site says. It looks pretty varied to me. Just an FYI in case someone was interested.

Edit:
I'm an idiot! Found the sampler info! Right in front of my face! Geesh!

Edit 2
Yippee! Free shipping for samples! lol @ myself

Thanks for the link. I do see where you can get a sampler pack, but it looks like #1. It's in baggies and #2 It's $25.00! Too much for me, but if you try them, let us know what you think. Very curious about the ingredients she uses. Different...

Re: Crush Groove MMU?

I noticed the foundation contains "oat". Beware Ohappydayes. The oat in Lumiere VV broke out several people, including me. I don't know why, but some people don't do well with oat.

This doesn't mean you will have the same reaction. I just thought I would give you a heads up.

Thanks for pointing this out you two...I totally over looked that...it was late and I should've been asleep. lol Thanks for pointing that out kat, the LAST thing I need is something to break me out more. I wonder how closely related oat is to soy...I've used the Aveeno products without breakouts.

Maybe it's because I use BE that I don't think so. This lady is charfing $35 for 1 oz and BE sells me .3oz for $25. I thought it was a great deal!

I have been using Aveeno Foaming Face Cleanser (with salicylic acid) for a very long time. I've never had a breakout problem with it either. I never have a breakout problem with anything that contains salicylic acid. It's specifically for acne healing (which everyone already knows).

Your soy and oat question is a good one. Wonder if anyone knows anything? I wonder if the salicylic acid keeps the soy from breaking me out? I do know Aveeno is a great cleanser.

Re: Crush Groove MMU?

I did some inspecting in my cabinets and found an Aveeno moisturizing bar with oatmeal in it that I had used in the past without incident. So I'm hoping for the same results with this MMU.

Customer service was great. She replied to my email in less than 10 hours. I emailed her some pics and look forward to her reply. So far so good!

Re: Crush Groove MMU?

Ok, I haven't ordered this yet BUT I had to come back and report how great the owner is! She has been emailing back and forth with me regarding a color choice and has been super sweet. I know I've been annoying with follow up questions, but she has not let on (lol) and responds very quickly.

I give her customer service and kindness an A+++. I wanted everyone to know that just in case you were also interested. If you're still really unsure about your perfect shade, you can send her your current perfect color and she will match it. I think that's pretty awesome. Anyways, I was so pleased with the customer service that I had to share with you all.

BTW, what shades did you order? I'm a MAC NC25-30 and I'm not sure whether I should try out the olives or the yellows!

I didn't order yet, because in the meantime I fell in love with Joppa and Aubrey Nicole. I may go ahead and just get the samples though. She recommended praline or pecan in yellow tones. Looking at her pis on the site and the models at the bottom those choices seem to be about right to me.
