Does your kabuki leave bristles on your face???

Like when you're done buffing, do you find loose bristles stuck to your skin?? I have to Sonia Kashuk travel kabuki that I use for my mmu.. and I was just wondering if this was normal, or is this brush just crap??

Re: Does your kabuki leave bristles on your face???

I used to use the EDM kabuki and it looked like I had a fight with a cat after every use. Hairs would be everywhere on my face. Now I use the Lumiere synthetic kabuki and it has never shed a hair.

I think with real-hair kabukis there is usually some shedding-several hairs at the most at one time.

Re: Does your kabuki leave bristles on your face???

I'm sure it's natural bristles. All naturals shed. Some will stop after the loose hairs are gone and some do it forever. I've heard the more you wash them the less they shed.

There is no shedding at all with synthetic bristles. All of my face brushes are synthetic. I started using synthetic because I'm allergic to animal hair. I would use synthetic even if I wasn't allergic. They are much softer and they don't suck up minerals as bad as naturals. I have two natural eyeshadow brushes and they pick up minerals like magnets. The synthetic is more controlled.

I saw your PM response to mine.

My BE brushes shed like crazy, but my beautiful and insanely soft Aubrey Nicole synthetic brushes NEVER do.

I have the lumiere kabuki. It's synthetic and never sheds, maybe it's the natural bristles.

What kind of brush do you have? I have never heard of a synthetic shedding. Just wondering.

Thanks for the input.. I think it might be because it's natural bristles...

Re: Does your kabuki leave bristles on your face???

The natural bristles shed because they're tied together before they're put on the ferrule. I think that the synthetic bristles are glued together, so they don't unglue and shed - but you can't really do that to natural bristles , i imagine.
