Dreamworld Creme Toppings

Anyone currently using these? I placed an order for almost all the available colors in samples and got a FS of the cafe au lait based on raves from another member. i am excited to get my shipment. I have been holding out on ordering a FS of Silk Naturals Date Bait as i hear DW's is even better and i am already mighty impressed with Date Bait !

Re: Dreamworld Creme Toppings

The Creme toppings seem to be really popular. I've just ordered some foundations to try, I didn't order any samples of those.

Processing time is about a week at the moment.

Hi Sim,

This explanation from DW forum should help:

Quote:
The whipped creams only come in silks...they are top coats, although some ladies use them for bases too if they have dry skin...
The Creme toppings on the other hand can be used for primers or top coats..
They come in 3 formulas:
Clay and silica...great for oily skin
Clay, no silica...again great for oily skin, because they soak up the excess oils to keep your skin happy and healthy..
Silk, no clay or silica...which was made for dry skin and is good on all. Many of the ladies use it as a topping to their foundations and love it as such..
Both the creme silks and the whipped creams are wonderful for top coats..they set the foundation and finish it off in such a way that it gives an air brushed look...
I hope I haven't confused you further...and I know some of the wonderful ladies here will be happy to chime in..
They are all a wealth of knowledge...
So keep watch...
And if you have any other questions, never hesitate to ask...
Thanks,
Ellie
and i found this post helpful too:

Quote:
You use a creme topping or whipped creme under, over, or under and over your foundation for any of several reasons: to help with oilies, to create a smooth palette, to minimize pores, to correct color flaws in your skin or makeup, or to add that "can't put my finger on it" something special To expand on the colors:
The lavender one (angel creme) and the raspberry are colors that can be used as an all over face brightener and picks up a dull or tired face
The yellow one (butter creme) can be used as a color corrector to tone down too much pink or blue in the face.
the peanut butter, butterscotch, and peach creme are all like skin tone enhancers. Since they're basically the same color as your skin, they just add a little "oomph", that "something special"
the cocoa and chocolate are a bit darker but still uber-light coverage so they're kind of like a "natural tan" effect. they're still an "oomph" or "something special" effect but you can also use them for contouring.
the white one (whipped creme) creates an airbrushed effect. It smoothes the skin, hides the pores and "pulls it all together". This is often the first and last coat people put on. Since it's white, you can also use it over a color that may be too dark to tone it down a little. Since it's silk, it's good for your skin too.
the whipped strawberries should work like the whipped creme but with a bit of a "pick me up" pink and, because it's not pure white, will not be quite as "airbrushed" or "soft focus" looking

Re: Dreamworld Creme Toppings

Hi Sim,

If you don't have oily skin, i would get the toppings in silk only and stay away from the clay and silica. the silk will make a great finishing powder to give you a nice color and airbrushed look.

Kris

Oh! I went on the DW chat tonight and Ellie says she created a new glow and had me in mind when she created it! i had emailed her regarding creating a mica free foundation, and so when she created this glow, she made it mica free. It's called Mummy Glow and I can't wait to place an order for it when my first arrives and i decide what i need/want.

Quote:
Mummy Glo is a white glowy powder that has a scant of shimmer and very light undertones of gold...

It will give that natural glo without changing the color of your foundation and other makeup....
Mummy Glo

ETA: it comes in 4 versions and one is mica free.

Re: Dreamworld Creme Toppings

Just to update - my finishers arrived and i can say for sure that the whipped creme and raspberry topping is HG material. you use a very little bit and both give such an airbrushy look. i think i prefer the silk version better than the clay/silica for now.

Re: Dreamworld Creme Toppings

Ooh, this sounds like just what I've been looking for. I am definitely going to place an order and try this brand soon!

Just wondering, for those of you that have tried it, how does the creme topping compare to pure luxe's eraser?

Re: Dreamworld Creme Toppings

Hi megan! I think you will really like the whipped creme. i shoulda listened to the other ladies on the DW forum and gotten a FS jar, when they said you can't go wrong with whipped creme. i can't compare it to pure luxe's as i haven't tried theirs but can compare it to Silk Natural's sheer perfecting powder--the DW one is definitely more concentrated and provides a more complete airbrush look while with the SN one, you have to use a ton of product (but you still don't get the same effect).
