Everyday Minerals-Out of Stock/DCed?

Is it common for small MMU companies to be out of stock of major items or continually discontinuing favorite colors? I am not certain EM could even be considered in the smallish size category. It just seems like a company with their sales (I think I read on the Indie Beauty website that their sales were in the millions, but I could be mistaken.) should have the capital and foresight to be able to deal with these situations.

I understand if a mica is no longer available that it has the potential to alter your product line, but I am not sure I am comfortable with them completely using up the earth's supply of a certain mica. It has happened twice now with Chit Chat and Siesta, both beloved MMU colors. Any thoughts?

I really do not see any excuse for being out of stock on their brushes over and over. They should be able to plan better. Does it seem like they are pretending that they are still small? I am just asking. I don't know the company that well.

Who would've thought a billion dollar company like NINTENDO would be sold out of Nintendo Wiis for so long as well. Makes ya wonder.

So true, but at least there is hope they will be in stock another day! Also, I think Nintendo plans it that way on purpose. Not sure Everyday Minerals is a marketing genious aside from the free sample kit.

Re: Everyday Minerals-Out of Stock/DCed?

Did you ever think that it is not the company's fault that they are out of the brushes or eyeshadows that you want, but that the manufacturer of that particular item is backed up with orders? And therefore cannot fulfill the company's order?

This was a major problem with Lumiere and their brush prebuy last year.

Re: Everyday Minerals-Out of Stock/DCed?

i think that they were expecting their brushes to become as popular as they did. they got a lot of publicity through word of mouth, and all at once their brush orders grew exponentially. hopefully they're working on that problem now, but i like the company a lot and i'm willing to wait.

I've been aware of EM for a little over a year, and all of the things you mentioned is basically just how they are. They seem to have these color inconsistency issues that are a mystery too - other companies don't seem to have these problems, yet it's been a huge issue at EM. There are a lot of people who love EM's products and will continue to buy from them, but I for one have tired of all the "issues" quite a while ago and have taken my business elsewhere.

Yes, a similar thing happened to Lumiere-once. They handled it as gracefully as possible. I think this has happened in turn with every brush EM currently stocks. It just seems like it could be planned for on the third or fourth instance. With my limited knowlege of manufacturing, I could definitely be wrong.

As for the blushes, I think the micas are no longer available for those colors-anywhere. Time to start searching for a swap or something just as good elsewhere.

Re: Everyday Minerals-Out of Stock/DCed?

If you check the news pages she often explains why things are sold out. The brushes, as was previously mentioned, have been backordered by the provider. As well, she has had a few times when they sent in the wrong brushes or brushes that were of inferior quality and she had to send them back. I'd rather wait for a good quality brush then receive a scratchy one that sheds like the brushes they used to sell

I get what you see about the colors, it's really silly that each batch is different.

I noticed that with with EDM. I wanted to order their long handled brush but its on backorder yet again. It's really annoying bc I am officially a huge fan of their products now.

Hopefully, they can get the brush thing worked out so it won't happen in the future. I have to admit, the brushes are nice and worth waiting for.

That's funny. I got a Siesta sample last year. It's very pretty, but none of them now have even close to the same color.

I still have more than half cause I don't wanna use it up.

I remember I wanted to order Siesta again, but it was no longer there. A lot of their older brushes there aren't there either.

Re: Everyday Minerals-Out of Stock/DCed?

Actually I saw one of my blushes has really close to the same color as Siesta if you're looking for a dupe. It's by Physicians Formula Mineral Wear in "Blushing Glow". It's just a tad lighter cause everytime I apply Siesta, it's way TOO much!
