The Fan Brush...
I find it in a lot of professional make up kits, but is it really useful?
I know its used for contouring and brushing off excess powder... but how often do you ladies use it?
and is a thicker fan brush better than a dense one?

Re: The Fan Brush...
I like fan brushes that aren't dense - really good for blush, finishing powder, bronzer, glow powders, anything that needs a light hand for application. Fan brushes can't be beat in my book.

Re: The Fan Brush...
They're meant to be good for deeply pigmented blushes so I should imagine they're pretty good for mmu blushes. I don't have one though.

Re: The Fan Brush...
I never really use it unless I have a lot of e/s spillage! The tutor on my make up course had a fat one though, for powder. It was awesome, but I can't find anything similar!

Re: The Fan Brush...
I believe it's designed for blushes primarily, but it works wonderfully with translucent powders too...

Re: The Fan Brush...
I use it for bronzer. It give less coverage than a powder/kabuki brush, so it's perfect for the job

Re: The Fan Brush...
I have one from sephora that is nice, it's not too dense. It's actually the first brush I could get mineral blush to look right on me, everything else looked too heavy. I also sometimes use it to sweep on my mineral veil lightly.
