First time using EDM

I ordered a sample package and love it! I found a foundation that works and a concealor that I love. The blush isnt bad either (back to school).

I need a new way to apply it, though. My BE brushes SUCK.

So far, so good. I'm used to a heavier coverage, but we'll see

Re: First time using EDM

I just started testing out EDM as well. I highly recommend you go back to their site and order their flat top synthetic brush. It's as soft as velvet on your skin and makes a world of difference for application.

Re: First time using EDM

I completely agree. I also ordered the flawless foundation brush and have found my HG of foundation brushes. I love the flat top for blending though. Of all the BE brushes I bought, the only one I still use is the blush brush, and that's only because I haven't ordered the one from EDM yet. They're so rough compared to the other brushes!

Re: First time using EDM

i just recently tried EDM too and so far i love it.

to make it last longer, put on primer for a silkier finish. i'd recommend monistat chafing gel. and spray distilled water onto you brush then dip it to your foundation for a dewey look.

Re: First time using EDM

With my 2nd order of samples I chose their 'Intensive' formula. On the 2nd say of wearing this stuff, my lower face is experiencing some stinging & itching. By the late afternoon yesterday, I had a bunch of bumps on my lower face. I didn't experience this with their 'matte' formula with my 1st order of samples. Unfortunately the 'matte' doesn't give me enough coverage. I may be out of luck with EDM.

i really like EDM too. I like it's finish, and it never makes me feel itchy or makes me breakout like BE used to.

Re: First time using EDM

I just received their samples and I'm very pleased with the line. All of my foundation samples are the Intensive formula, and I like the good coverage it gives. However, I plan to order samples in all the different formulas to see how they look, as well.

I tried some of their lighter colored blushes (E-Mail and Nick Nack) and love them, for I can finally get a more natural look by layering them on.

I got the finishing dust and Sunlight finishing dust. Both are excellent. The Finishing Dust is nearly transparent, but provides a nice finish.

For concealers, I got the Multi-tasking and Mint. The Mint is an interesting one. It goes on very lightly and helped to hide a lot of spider veins. I was afraid I'd end up with a green face, but this doesn't happen, for it's very sheer.

I also ordered their baby Kabuki and the flat top brush. Both are very soft. I already have a flat top I got from Monave which is firmer and not quite so soft. However, this is the one I prefer for applying foundation, as it holds quite a bit of powder. I use the new EDM flat top to apply the finishing dust and the baby Kabuki has become my blush brush. As soon as they have them back in stock, I'm ordering a few more.

I think this company has very good makeup and they are generous in their samples. I confess I got a little carried away and ordered quite a few of the $5 sizes so I could have more to try. However, it was worth it, for I think I've finally found a good match for my skin. Both my daughter and I have pink undertones with a touch of brown, and it has been near impossible to find anything we could wear, but this company seems to have a good selection for anyone with a cool complexion.

All in all, I've been very happy with this line. I have tried four different companies, but I think I may settle with this one, as it has the colors and coverage I've been looking for.
