Help me please

Can someone help me with this MMU I have never tried it yet im interested in trying it,
I've used so many liquid foundations and my face always looks terrible in natural light, cakey, patchy etc even tho im not using too much I'll still feel i look horrible and it wears off after a few hours.
can anyone reccomend something in Mineral makeup, i wouldnt know where to start with which is the best to go for.
I do have a few questions though, whats the difference between mineral and normal makeup? theres alot of rave about MMU but why? I dunno if to beleive the ads ive seen on how great it is

Re: Help me please

hi there

mmu is much more natural looking than other makeup...its flawless coverage made with some good ingredients..the otheres on here wil tell you in more detail re ingredients in mmu

you are less likely to brakeout in spots, etc and mmu can mask imperfections without looking cakey

i too like you went from many diffrent branded makeup trying to find one that was suited to my complexion colour...finally through ebay i discovered mmu...ive never looked back...im on SHEERCOVER but have also tried BARE ESCENTUALS...
you are best getting samples as theres loads of mmu sites..plus samples are cheap
and the great thing is you can mix 2 shades to get colour suited for your skin tone..you can even use mmu all over the body....and you also save money in that the eyeshadow minerals-certain colours-can be used on the lips too
happy shopping-go for it!

Re: Help me please

Hi there!!! I might could steer you in a more pointed direction if you can tell me a few things.

What's your skin type? Dry? Oily? Normal?
What sort of coverage are you looking for?
Do you have lots of "imperfections" you need to cover?

I had the same results you do when I was using liquid foundations. Splotchiness and all. It was awful. I don't get that with MMU!

My skin type is a combo, abit oily in areas but control it with dermalogica so its ok.
I like quite a full coverage but not so it looks too heavy
I dont really have any imperfections, one or two freckles but thats fine

If you like full coverage, I would suggest trying either Everyday Minerals or MAD Minerals. Everyday has a free sample kit and 4 different formulas of foundation for coverage. I would suggest the Intensive for you. MAD has baggie samples for $2.00 each, but there's also a big sale going on right now on 5g jars for $3.50 each. Up until recently, EDM (Everyday Minerals) was my favorite for coverage and staying power. However, I just started using MAD, and I like it much better.

Do you know what color you might need?

If you really want to give MMU a try, my suggestion would be to order some samples from EDM and MAD. If you want the heavier coverage, get a flat top brush. (EDM has a good one.) That's what I use because it gives more coverage than a kabuki.

Re: Help me please

i dunno what shade to go for when seeing the color online as ive ordered mu online before its its come too dark. so id have to guess.

Ive been looking around and found Jane Iredale Liquid Mineral Foundations. is this one any good? it looks interesting and might give it a try but its pricey id like to know if its worth it before ordering

Re: Help me please

I haven't tried Jane Iredale. Yeah, it's quite pricey! There are a couple of other MMU companies who make liquids if you're interested. MAD has a line of liquids. Lumiere has a liquid. Also, GloMinerals, I think. Just be careful. They're quite different than normal liquid foundations. They dry a LOT faster once you start applying them on your skin! MAD has samples of their liquid foundations. I don't know about the others.

Re: Help me please

I am not a make-up Queen when it comes to wearing make-up. But when I found Lisa at mymineralbathandbody.com I was shocked. "A real person" to talk to help me select colors of mineral powders, eye shadows I wanted to sample. She sent them right out to me and explained to me how to apply each product. I did my best from her instructions and got so many compliements last saturday night that I placed a order with her today! What great personalized customer service And I found her on MUT
