Question Highlighter help! Origins vs. Monave?

I'm on the hunt for a good highlighter, and have elsewhere read fantastic reviews about Origins Halo Effect. I'm more inclined to it because it is liquid, and therefore think it would give more of a natural glow, rather than a flat sheen that I think a powder would give. However, I've read all the raves about Monave, and am looking forward to sampling them. I see they've got some Illuminizers. So what do you all think - how would they compare with halo?

For reference, I have really light skin - Blushing Ivory in Neutrogena (previous foundation), and from the looks of it, Ashlie in Monave. Usually I default to the lightest offered by any company. Other: blonde/greenish-hazel eyes/pink-to-neutral undertones. (Basically, reference the avatar, lol )

Thanx!

Re: Highlighter help! Origins vs. Monave?

You sound like the perfect candidate for Monave's Glisten- a light pink. Val's Centerfold is a little more peachy but just barely, and Lumiere's Clear Radiance. I personally prefer powder to liquid when talking about illuminzing glow because I think liquid is hard to blend to get it to look right, especially since I apply "glow" last. I use an angled blush brush and sweep the product at the tops of my cheeks first. I leave the clear adhesive on the sifter with only 3 holes open so that I don't get too much. Mad also has Satin Glow which is a light ivory with a soft sheen. It's almost like a finishing powder and so light that you can apply the "high light" with your finger tip. They have their 5 g samples on sale and they are jammed with product. I swear by all my illuminizers.

I think the MAD sale is over. I was looking at the site yesterday and the links to the sale are gone!

Hoozey -

Thanks for the great recommendations!! You've given me quite a few hunts to go on - and all makeup hunts are great! I'm so excited to start sampling.

I really appreciate your thorough input - one of the most helpful responses I've gotten thus far on any my queries. THANX!!!

I'd skip those and go with Val's Centerfold
