Exclamation I bought a BE brush from ebay, but is it the right one?

So I bought a Bare Escentuals 'full coverage kabuki' on Ebay, and when I received it I saw that it is tiny (about 2-3 inches in height). It is so small compared with the other branded brush I've been using ( a Boots one, a U.K. pharmacy) that I thought maybe it's fake(?) because it's so tiny yet has 'full coverage kabuki' printed on it.

My question for those who have BE brushes is, is this indeed the full coverage brush, going on the size? I haven't tried using it yet, but it does feel nice and firm and dense.

Thanks for any advice

It sounds like the real thing to me, because it is really small. It gets more "fluffy" once you've used it a couple of times, though. That much said, I don't really like that brush, because it is really scratchy, but soft in the beginning only. Not to rain on your parade, but just a word of caution.

I've noticed the same thing. Makes my face red in spots and it's not like I'm going really rough at my face with the d*mned thing!

Re: I bought a BE brush from ebay, but is it the right one?

Thanks ladies! I bought it much cheaper than I would have paid full price (which would have been VERY steep), but I'll see how it goes.I was just surprised at how teeny it is, lol. I will probably get better coverage with it than my current brush though.

As far as the texture of the brush, I have since read a few reviews that it is not very pleasant to use at first, so we'll see.

I bought mine around Christmas time (thanks, Ebay!), but now, I've almost stopped using it, and prefer the flattop from EDM, because it is much softer. The BE brush was OK at first, but then I found that it got stiffer and stiffer, no matter what I cleaned it with (I even tried using my Redken All Soft-stuff).

The same thing happened with the Flawless brush that I got as part of the intro kit, but I think that this generally happens with natural hair brushes.

Re: I bought a BE brush from ebay, but is it the right one?

Yeah, I've read good things about the Everyday Minerals brush thus far, so that'll probably end up in a kit some time in the near future
I tried the BE one this morning, and it is alright, but I haven't noticed an enormous difference between it and my usual brush(which is natural hair, and is still very soft and nice). Having said that, I'm using Lauress, which seems like slightly sheerer coverage than some of the other brands I've tried, so it's hard to tell. I still look nice, but not much more than a marginal difference in application 'density' so to speak.

Re: I bought a BE brush from ebay, but is it the right one?

This is stupid to ask, but does anyone know what the brush is make out of? When you say natural? I didn't think about it, but that might be my problem, I have allergies to alot of "furs".

It's probably made out of goats' hair.

The BE brush is sable, so that is definitely natural hair.

Re: I bought a BE brush from ebay, but is it the right one?

Thanks ladies for answering my question about the natural hair. It explains alot. No wonder why my synthetic brushes don't make my face itchie and red. I don't mean to hijack this thread but has anyone else had this problem?
