Re: Jen Irdel..

I believe you're speaking of Jane Iredale. Yes they're mineral. Some of the products contain bismuth oxcychloride, which can be an irritant. The bismuth can also cause a grey cast/ashen appearance on women of color. My derm introduced me to this line several years ago. It can be a little pricey because it's sold by distributors. Luckily, I found many of the products at half the retail price on eBay. Due to the ashen appearance and irritation, I stopped using her products.

Re: Jen Irdel..

These products are great to use professionally and by the public. They are also not going to block pores on the skin. Yes they are mineral based. These products can also be applied straight after a facial too.

I have used these products in salon for many years along side other makes.

Re: Jen Irdel..

I'm a fan of Jane Iredale make up, I have quite a bit of it, I think it applies beautifully, doesn't feel heavy on and lasts all day.

I agree with beautyguru, we often apply Jane Iredale to our clients after facials, you can even apply it after you've done a microdermabrasion.

OMG - thank god someone on this site who knows about beauty I was going to give up. Yesterday I was watching a girl trying to attempt to put make up on herself and teach others on this site - what a mess. Heaven help us all I thought. Back to Jane Iredale.

The product gives a fantastic finish on all skin types. The rule is normally not a powder on dry and old skin but with JI there is no problem.

Have you seen the sparkle eyeshadows

Re: Jane Iredale

I'm not a fan of this brand. It's too pricey and I like other individually run companies better.

Re: Jane Iredale

I'd bought Jane Iredale from this UK site All the best natural brands @ musthave: the natural skincare store
They have a new formula without bismuth

I must admit that if I'm not addictive to Mineral Makeup I wouldn't buy Jane Iredale at all
