i've just found this...Joppa Minerals
and they have Simple Radiance Foundation "A great product for normal-aging or dry skin. This Silica Free Loose Mineral Foundation offers a natural sun protection, medium - full coverage and leaves your skin with a natural luminosity. Simple Radiance is a silky blend of minerals that actually becomes creamy when applied. " sounds interesting ... anyone try? i do search...but don't see any review of them and also dewy finishing powder , simple radiance finishing powder.. .Last edited by n_o_k_k_i_e : 05-08-2008 at 10:45 PM. |

Re: Joppa Minerals...
Yes. It's a terrific foundation, long-lasting with good coverage. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a color match--their selection is quite limited in the Simple Radiance formula. They just released two new colors in that line, but both are olive, which isn't my skin tone. I've got my fingers crossed that they might do a peach. But I have their finishing silk and concealer and eyeshadow and I like them all, and they have very good customer service. They also typically send freebies with an order. HTH.

Re: Joppa Minerals...
I'm really lucky, I found the perfect match on the first try of samples that I got!
So far my absolute favorite formula of all the brands that I have tried, love everything about it... it's truly amazing! |

Re: Joppa Minerals...
I've tried their Simple Radience, and the Morning Dew foundations. I couldn't find a color straght on, but mixing two differet colors worked well. I liked the Simple Radience all right, but the coverage wasn't heavy enough for me. However, I did really like the combo of Morning Dew in addition to the Simple Radience. The Morning Dew was just a great all over face color for me. Just the right touch of bronzing, and a little added coverage over the foundation. I would suspect if people like a sheer foundation or just a wash of color for light makeup days this would be perfect. Often I'll add a swipe of the Morning Dew over whatever foundation I'm wearing to give myself a little extra glow.

Re: Joppa Minerals...
I loved the feel and finish of all three formulas but could not find a match. I tried many, many samples and all were either too orangey-yellow and one was a bit pink. The closest match I found was in the morning dew, Jasper. It is supposed to be an olive undertone. I liked it except it is a conbo of foundation and bronzer that is a little shimmery. I don't always want a shimmery look so I ruled out this company as far as finding an everyday HG foundation. Now that someone said there are two new colors in the Simple Radiance in olive I may have to get another sample kit!

I have read somewhere that Joppa foundation looks good applied with a powder brush instead of a kabuki ( just swept onto the face ). That would be a good thing,if it were true.... Anybody know...? |

Re: Joppa Minerals...
yeah, joppa has coverage more than anything else i've tried, and i've tried quite a few. if you can find a color match (quite limited in shades sadly) it'll probably be your HG.
i love their facial moisturizers too, got hooked when they sent me two free samples of tea tree and avocado creams. awesome and my skin usually reacts to just about everything. the eye cream is great too. oh, and the tea tree fullsize cream is over 100 ml in volume O.O didn't like their eyeshadows though, very matte and not that intensive, but they hold like hell without any base or anything. |

Re: Joppa Minerals...
I am about ready to order from Joppa myself - Morning Dew sounds like it would be a great look for what I would want for summer.

Re: Joppa Minerals...
I found a good match with the full coverage formula of Joppa and it is now one of my HG's. It is not too matte on my oily face. Their finishing powder is one of the best for me too. I want to try out the morning dew formula soon.

Re: Joppa Minerals...
Oh, I have the Luminesse too. I personally didn't think it had any glow at all. Morning Dew has much more than the Lumiere. It does have a bit of bronzer in it, so you might want to sample a shade lighter than you normally might get, if you don't want to look too bronze. But overall, I love Morning Dew. Its such a unique product! Its like a glow/highlighting powder, bronzer, and foundation all in one.

Re: Joppa Minerals...
morning dew is beautiful - i use it in "grecian gold" which is one of the new(er) olive shades (but i would describe it more as a creamy gold/bronze shade)... the color doesn't oxidize as the day wears on (eg. no orange-ing) and it has amazing staying power. it gives glow without glitter and sheen without shine.
