Re: Looking for good brushes

I would say that it would depend on the kind of brushes you are looking for. if you're looking for makeup brushes in general, I'd suggest Sonia Kushak brushes from Target. They're really nice brushes. If you take good care of them, they'll stay soft yet durable for ages. I believe most of the brushes from the Sonia Kushak line are natural bristled brushes (I've heard that natural bristled brushes pick up powder better). If you're looking for kabukis, flat-top brushes, or any other mmu brushes, I'd suggest Lumiere brushes. I bought some from their Pre-Buy Sale and I couldn't be happier. I've heard that brushes from Coastal Scents are very good quality for cheap too!

Hope that helps!

Re: Looking for good brushes

I bought a goat hair kabuki from TKB Trading on a whim and am actually really pleased with it. Only $3.50, really soft and the just the right size for mineral powder. HTH!

Re: Looking for good brushes

Take a look at Everyday Minerals' long handled kabuki brush, it is by far the best brush ever. It is s synthetic brush, but it is sooooo soft and it does not shed at all. It's only $10 and it blows away any other kabuki I have ever used. I bought several more to use for blushers, bronzers, etc. And for mineral makeup they are just awesome. It picks up minerals and powders and distributes evenly and flawlessly. Seriously- the best brush I have ever felt and used, the performance is outstanding.

Re: Looking for good brushes

Try to find essence of beauty brushes. They are a cheap alternative to the high end brushes and really, really, good. I buy mine from CVS because I live in Washington, DC.

Re: Looking for good brushes

Now that i have the new flat top and LHK from EDM , my search for my HG kabuki have come to its end. Just have get me a couple of more for blush and powder. And maybe one espesially for bronzers.
And one for backup...

Re: Looking for good brushes

I got my baby kabuki from Silk Naturals and it's really nice and soft, and has never shed. If i'm not wrong, it is the same brush as Forever Female. I also got the 6pc prebuy brush set from Lumiere and it's also of very good quality.
