Magnesium stearate?

I've been checking mmu ingredients and I recently came across magnesium stearate. What is it and have you experienced any irritation or breakouts from it?

Also, what ingredients in mmu are you sensitive to?

Re: Magnesium stearate?

it's a soft, smooth white powder from vegetable (wax) sources, and it helps the powder retain a free-flowing state and silky applicaiton. Personally I've never had the slightest reaction to it (or any other mmu ingredient), but I know some people who have.

Re: Magnesium stearate?

I have super sensitive skin and never had a problem- it's a nice foundation ingredient- it makes it melt into your skin, and is a little water resistant.

Re: Magnesium stearate?

Sometimes magnesium stearate can be derived from beef, but most mineral companies use vegetables sources. You might notice it's in some of your food, too.
