Mary Kay Mineral Foundation

Yes, they now have it too. What's funny is about 2 years ago I complained to Cyera's godmother that MK needed to up their game and start making tinted moisturizer and MMU. About a year ago, what came out? Tinted moisturizer! And now, MMU! And I never even sent in my letter to them like I meant to LMAO!

ANYWHO! Just thought I'd let you all know it's out there. You can get Mary Kay Mineral Powder Foundation and Brush Set (including limited-edition bag), 0.28 oz. net wt. for only $28.00. It comes in: Ivory 1, Ivory 2, Beige 1, Beige 2, Bronze 1, and Bronze 2. The brush almost resembles the BE Heavenly Face Brush.

Thanks for the info !! My neighbor is a Mary Kay consultant but we just moved a few months ago in the area. I don't know her well but might be a good way to get more acquainted

Thanks for posting this Aquilah, MK is UPPING their game.We have been ranked by the National Board of Cosmetics as a Presige Brand, in other words we are the same quality as Department Store brands. New and more pigmented colors (eyes & cheecks this spring) and some things that I can't mention yet but no one else has.
As for the Mineral Makeup all I can say is WOW!. I can't keep it in stock.
Clients that use BE and other brands have said that MKM is so much easier to use. It has great coverage. My skin tone is ruddy and 2 light dustings and the ruddiness is gone. Over the holidays I got tons of compliments from friends and family and I love the light wt feel. I do definatly recomend using the brush. I tried it with a BE brush and the coverage wasn't the same. It is great for mature older skin because it doesn't settle in the lines around the eyes and mouth.
Farria2, no this is not on the same level with dimestore brands.

Re: Mary Kay Mineral Foundation

I didn't see any new eye colors in the catalog... That's definitely a complaint I have w/ MK... They need new e/s! Those same boring 42 are getting tiring. And there aren't enough special collections throughout the year for newer e/s. I did see the new lippies though.

Re: Mary Kay Mineral Foundation

I have a friend who is a MK consultant - she sent me the list of ingredients:
Ingredients: Talc , Zea Mays (Corn) Starch , Zinc Stearate , Dimethicone , Boron Nitride , Zeolite , Methylparaben , Sorbic Acid , Ethylene/Methacrylate Copolymer , Propylparaben , Tetrasodium EDTA , Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate , BHT , Iron Oxides , Mica May Contain: Titanium Dioxide

Do some poeple have a reaction to Talc? I am not sure if I should try or not since I am not sure what exactly I am sensitive too - plus who knows if they have a color that matches?

If she took the time to send you a list, sample it and see what color looks best. If your afraid of being sensitive, try in right below your ear lobe on your neck. This is the most sensitive area on most people according to my dermatologist. Wear it for awhile and see what happens. I always have a reaction if I apply cologne or after shave to this area. It gets beet red and sensitive to touch.

I would think that you'd be okay if you've never had a reaction to baby powder or loose face powder, but I'm liable to be wrong, and it could be another ingredient that may cause a reaction aside from the talc. Please do let us know how you like it if/when you try it!

I always heard to test things on the inside of the elbow area, and to apply milk to counteract the reaction.... Interesting!

We don't get Mary Kay over here but I'd love to see reviews if anyone has tried their mmu.

Re: Mary Kay Mineral Foundation

Right now I am staying with a friend who is a mk consultant and I will be placing an order sometime this week. She mentioned the mmu, and I saw some mmu in her bathroom, but I don't think it was the mk brand. I'll have to ask if she has some. It she doesn't I may order some just to see how it is as she gives me a bit of a discount.

Re: Mary Kay Mineral Foundation

Any more information on the MK brand and how it works? I'm anxious to find out. Would be nice not to always have to pay for shipping when I need to buy something.

Thanks

Out of about 35 women I have put it on, 75% of them are a perfect match for Ivory 2, the rest used Ivory 1. This summer I have a feeling I'll be switching most over to Ivory 2

Well I'm probably going to get a nasty email from one of the moderators fopr saying this, but I never charge for shipping, it's part of my customer service. Look around, alot of Consultants offer it.
