So I am really upset! I have been noticing that my Sleek Chartreux has been making me look DEAD lately! I dont get it! It looks okay in my bedroom but then when I would go into the bathroom where there is natural light-I look sick!!!!!!!!! Then I went out with my mom tonight and just happened to pull down the rear view mirror and let me tell ya, I wish I hadn't!!!!!!!! I looked so pale and it did not even seem to cover all my blemishes. I know that I have not gotten a tan or anything because I try to avoid the sun at all costs-I do nothing but fry!! What do you girls think is going on? Could it be the finishing dust? I really need to figure something out cause I am leaving for my honeymoon in 2 and a half weeks and I would hate to look dead in all my pictures! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Meow Foundation Problem!
Sounds like the color just isn't right for you. Do you not look "dead" before you apply it, only after? Maybe try a different shade, and maybe a subtle bronzer? If you think it might be the finisher try it without and see if it makes a difference.

Yeah, it's not the right color. How long have you been using it? You probably just noticed it..I would go darker.

Re: Meow Foundation Problem!
Yeah go darker, and if your color seemed to be working for you before, stay in the same shade family just go a little bit darker.

Re: Meow Foundation Problem!
I agree with everyone else to go darker. Also, the lighting in your house is different from natural light. So if you have the time, check the mirror under natural light 10-15 minutes after you apply your foundation. Good luck!

Re: Meow Foundation Problem!
I was afraid you all would say that! I have had it for 6 months now!!! And it is still practically new considering how big Meow's foundations are! Guess I should order some more samples then?

Re: Meow Foundation Problem!
Sounds like you need a slightly warmer shade. A foundation that's too cool toned for your skin can make you look slightly greyish.

Yep, you can always mix smaller proportion of a darker shade to your existing foundation. Meow brought out a smaller size jar recently, when you find the right color to mix with, you don't have to get the large tub. P.S. check your PM... ![]() |

Re: Meow Foundation Problem!
I seem to have a problem too. I am wearing Frisky/Naughty Abyssinian with 2 sample baggies of Frisky Manx and 2 sample baggies of Naughty Manx. It's perfect for the first 4 hours or so, but then it gets pale! I'm wondering if it's the moisturizer I use, cuz I do use their flat-top, primer, and finishing powder. Any suggestions?

Re: Meow Foundation Problem!
I was just about to make a post on how Meow changes color on me but will add on here since the topic is somewhat similiar
I have been experimenting with Chaussie, Siamese and Himalayan in the Flawless Feline formula and 2 lightest versions - Inquisitive and Sleek.. Esp. Chaussie is an ok match but I am having trouble getting the coverage I need. After several layers it is still not perfect and looking borderline chalky. What is worst though is that it is changing color on me. (and breaking me out but I will leave that to another post as I don't want to sound to negative :-)) Colorwise it looks ok in the morning but as the days goes by it is turning orange/yellow - opposite problem of you guys and a mystery to me. Bummed because I had high hopes. Love the Feliners though - to end on a positive note. |

Re: Meow Foundation Problem!
Prudence: Frisky Mau or Charteux in Flawless Feline match my skin on the first layer. If I do another layer I start to look too pale and porcelain doll-like. To solve the coverage issue (I have many red acne scars) I need to conceal with a yellow or peach concealer then apply one layer of foundation then spot conceal.
I break out to some degree from every mineral makeup because my skin is very sensitive. I found using a silicon primer (Aubrey Nicole is my HG) really reduced my breakouts and prevented the makeup oxidising (turning orange or yellow from you skin oils and chemcials) during the day. Hope this helps you out. |

I have ordered samples from Aubrey N. after hearing good things on this board, waiting impatiently. Before sampling Meow I was using Monave which I am perfectly happy with. Good coverage, no breakout, no colorchange etc. Too many raving rewies made me stray though ![]() I will consider using a primer but have not had a good results with silicone in the past so I have to look for something without - but if possible I would like to go without. I can with Monave som maybe I will have better luck with Aubrey than Meow. |

If you do decide to try it, make sure to follow the directions. If you rub it in or smooth it on it doesn't do the job. You must pat this product on. If you use the proper application it provides a fabulous result. Hope this gives you some useful information. ![]()

Re: Meow Foundation Problem!
Try some more samples and maybe they will exchange that full size shade you already purchased.
