Meow Madness!!!!
Well, before the beginning of this week I was happily using my Barefaced Beauty and Lilylolo products, but now...
I've read so much about Meow, that I've decided to order a ton of samples to try out and see what all the fuss is about!!
I can't wait to get them! Does anyone know how much time the shipping takes to Europe on average? The suspense is killing me, I want to try this now!
I ordered a ton of different foundation shades and colours, so I can find my perfect match, and I also ordered samples of the finishing powder and the primer.
Anyone use the Meow Primer? If so, what's it like, and is it value for money?
xxx.

I haven't used Meow yet, but I know that many many people here have used everything meow!

Re: Meow Madness!!!!
I wouldn't hold your breath! Meow is very chalky in texture and the coverage isn't that great.
Colours are very hit and miss and many of my samples were grey in colour.
Lilylolo is far superior.

I'm sorry to hear that! At the moment my HG foundation is by Barefaced Beauty, have you tried them yet? They are UK based, and their customer service is great!

Re: Meow Madness!!!!
Every time I've considered ordering Meow [or Aromaleigh] samples, I'm put off by the huge number of choices. Considering that most of us have a number of colors in our faces, it seems to be a losing battle to attempt to get a "perfect" match.

Re: Meow Madness!!!!
I am using Meow now & really dont plan to switch I love it although my other alternative mmu is EDM. It def has a buildable coverage but I like it. Ive never tried the primer though I just use silica powder for that its cheaper.

Re: Meow Madness!!!!
I prefer the meow to lilylolo, which made my face feel very tight! It's still not perfect for me but it's nice.
I ordered a tonne of samples from meow and the shipping was very reasonable, cost me about a tenner in total for the samples and the shipping.

I'm sorry to hear that Meow didn't work for you. Meow is the one company that I found a match with. I tried so many companies before Meow, waiting patiently for arrival, but none seemed to be the right one. Very disappointing. Humans are not made on an assembly line. We are all different. I still recommend the companies that didn't work for me because obviously, they work for so many others.

Re: Meow Madness!!!!
Meow's Pampered Puss and Purrr-fect Puss have a very different, light and flyaway texture compared to most other MMU I've tried. The minerals don't stick to the kabuki very well and they fly around when you applied. However, it never makes my skin feel tight or itchy. Coverage is sheer with initial application but builds up just fine with more layers. It's pretty incredible how many colors they offer!

Re: Meow Madness!!!!
I love Meow. Granted I haven't tried any other brand besides BE, but I like it that much that I'm not looking elsewhere...at least for a long while!
My skin is really hard to match. I used to use liquid foundations and the best one I've used was Prescriptives. Even their Colorprinting system couldn't get me the right color. So, I'm glad that I found Meow. I'm Asian with some French ancestry and I have a LOT of yellow in my skin. But unlike a lot of Asians that I have met, I don't have any olive undertones. Instead I have a bit of peach. My perfect match came out to be Frisky/Naughty Abyssinian with 2 sample bags of Frisky Manx and Naughty Manx.
I also ordered their full size primer. I have to admit that I think that I'm better off without it [at least for the summer]. I just use their setting powder on top. I guess during the summer I need to have the least amount of product on my face so that my face doesn't melt off! If you decide to get the primer, you may need to moisturize your face a little bit. HTH!

That's interesting. I've noticed that my face has been oilier in the past couple of weeks. Yes, one week was extremely hot, but then the temps came down a few days later. I'm going to not use the Meow primer today and see what happens. I probably use too much of this product maybe.

Yeah, I know. My skin's weird. :P. I have super-oily skin, but I guess I don't need the primer? Hmm. Odd!
I guess it kinda makes sense. If you have more product on your face, it makes your face hotter and therefore melt off?
How are you liking your Meow samples?

Re: Meow Madness!!!!
just ordered meow samples and can't wait to get them. i'm totally new to MMU. i have EDM and am trying it out...think i got the wrong colors so i'll have to do more testing or ordering. i was going on vacation and needed a darker color for my tan and thought it would be a perfect time to try something new (MAC studo fix user for 7 yrs) so i went down to the drugstore and purchased L'Oreal BN and i know this is may be politically incorrect but i really, really liked it!! so i ordered EDM and am on the way to testing more!! finding the right color is a b*tch!

Luckily, I'm past the sampling, at least for foundation. I bought the tub. Yeah! I did buy samples for two of my girls but they've been busy to try them. One child is away for the summer doing an internship. I called her and asked if she's had any luck with her Meow. She said that she doesn't have time to put much makeup on in the morning. "Anyway Mom, I won't have money for makeup for a while". I told her that I would take care of it for her if she found a match. Valerie Beauty did a really nice job of covering her acne but we haven't really found a match yet. I ordered the Flawless Feline and Pampered Puss samples for her. She'll be home in about 3 weeks so we can try it then.
