Merle Norman mineral foundation ..may be my HG!

Has anyone else tried this brand? I guess it just came out about a year ago. I thought I found my HG with Lauress Elemental but was getting annoyed that it seemed to fade by the end of the day and it looked more dewey than matte (I prefer matte, altho I did discover I'm not using the most matte of Lauress finishing powders which may play a part in it). A co-worker of mine suggested Merle Norman for their lip pencil plus (not MMU but I'm open minded) and when I saw they had a mineral foundation I decided to check it out.

I think I am sold! (it's only been a couple days so we'll see how the work week goes)

1) I like that they are franchises which means they are passionate about their business and want happy customers to stay open

2) My free makeover was 100% more personal than when I went to Sephora to try out BE. She did one side of my face, and then taught me how to do what she did on the other as we built it up from foundation to eyeshadow. That in itself is a treat to be taught by a make up artist for your features personally

3) The mineral makeup is even more silky than Lauress and just as weightless

4) Staying power has been amazing and no finishing powder is needed (not sure how that works but it does!)

5) No Bismuth or nasty additives

6) Instant gratification as a customer! Have to say waiting for samples, trying them, and then trying and waiting again was getting tedious

7) No guess work, they will let you try colors right there or suggest what works for your coloring

And they have mineral blushes as well.

I have fair, yellow undertone skin and liked the L60 best. She tried L20 but it didn't seem to even out my skintone and looked too pink compared to my neck which is more yellow than my face.

She chose Rosy Outlook mineral blush and a cocoa eyeshadow duo (not MMU but still very silky and nice)

I would definitely recommend them if you're like me and don't know a whole lot about what colors are best for you. It takes the guess work out. What I was left with a subtle everyday face that really livened me up.

Here's a silly face picture. heh.
