Mineral Finishing Powder

Hi,

I was wondering what brand of mineral makeup all you ladies feel has the best oil absorbency. I have tried EDM, Silk Naturals Date Bait, Ocean Mist and some others I can't think of right now and still have a shiny nose around noon. I apply my makeup in the morning around 6:00 a.m. I am just oily in the T-zone, the rest of my face is normal. I've even tried applying the silk dust as a primer after my moisturizer. I am using an oil-free moisturizer - do you all think I should not moisturize my T-zone at all. Does anyone else have this problem and if so, what have you found that works?

TIA,

Cin

Re: Mineral Finishing Powder

What about a primer like monistat or a primer that made to go under mineral makeup. That stuff makes a big difference for me and I'm sure it does for alot of others too.

Monistat Anti-Chafing Gel as a Foundation Primer...

Re: Mineral Finishing Powder

Maybe carry blotting sheets with you. Or you can buy blushes you can fill with finishing powder so you can touch up during the day.

Re: Mineral Finishing Powder

Thanks everyone for all of your suggestions. I did try the CVS brand of Monistat and didn't find any difference, using it or not. I also havie some blotting sheets, but was trying to find something where I wouldn't have to use anything.

Smile, are you talking about all Alima makeup or something specific from them that you use?

Thanks again everyone,

Cindy

Re: Mineral Finishing Powder

I mean their satin matte foundation.
In fact, it really dries out my face if I don't use more oily product before make up.

Re: Mineral Finishing Powder

i say give cory cosmetics a try. her foundation doesn't budge on me even when i blow my nose a lot. also, do not be afraid of oil. oils like jojoba oil can be used to control oil production on the face. you should google this up.

Re: Mineral Finishing Powder

EDM is bringing out a Starting Powder with Kaolin in it which should be good - I haven't tried it yet though.
