Mineral Lipstick

Since I've joined, I've noticed an increasing number of MMu sites carrying lipstick and lipcolors. What are your experiences with these? How do they compare to traditional cosmetic lipsticks?

Re: Mineral Lipstick

I love Aromaleighs lipsticks but do not care for their glosses. I don't like lumiere's Lumi lips although ive heard people like them. Thats all i've tried.

Re: Mineral Lipstick

I bought a sampler pack from MAD minerals and am in complete and total love. I believe the colors would suit a wide variety of skin colors/tones. The lipstick is creamy and goes on smoothly, and my lips aren't stained the gross red color when it starts to wear off! I feel like my lips are being moisturized and conditioned - they don't feel waxy and thick.

JMHO!

Re: Mineral Lipstick

I've been making them and they are super simple to make. They wear like regular lipstick but of course you can add in whatever extras you like.

Re: Mineral Lipstick

I personally am not a fan of mineral lip products---yuck! I don't know if I'm hyper-sensitive, but I can taste the minerals.

I think I would taste them also because I recall a time when my foundation got on my lips and it was yucky. I'll try em though.

Re: Mineral Lipstick

I have bought about 4 lipsticks from Monave. I like 3 out of the 4. They have mini-lipsticks for $ 3.50 so you can buy small sizes to sample. I bought a full size and found the full size to be creamier in texture than the mini so go figure.

I tried the Alima lipbalm sample and did not care for them. Really hard to get out of the container.

Also tried the Pure Luxe lip wand sample and I found the texture too gooey. It was long lasting though.

Re: Mineral Lipstick

I'm interested in finding a good mineral lipstick too--I guess I'll check out Mad, although I was intrigued by Monave's mini-lipstick option. Does anyone have color insights? I'm not actually really sure how to pick a good color for me....How does that work?
