Question Mineral makeup gathering by nose

Okay I tried searching for a similar thread but I couldn't find one. I'm having this annoying problem where my meow mineral makeup gathers by the sides of my nose towards the middle of the day, like you can see the powder, it's almost white. It's really weird because I've experimented with applying different amounts of primer in the morning, and I let it sit for like 15-20 minutes and nothing seems to help. I also apply it with a light hand using my philosophy flat top brush. I wouldn't say I get really oily around that area either (although I have tried blot papers to see if that helps the accumulating of the nose funk, and it doesn't), so I'm at a loss as to why this is happening. I'm reluctantly starting to think that Meow may not be for me, which bums me out because I loved this foundation for the longest time. Has anyone else experienced this with this product?

Oh, and I've tried both the pampered puss and flawless feline formulations- it happens with both.

Thanks!!

Re: Mineral makeup gathering by nose

Have you changed your moisturiser/sunscreen? I have the same prob you do, and it gets cakey around the nose - so annoying! Mine is due to a mixture of the foundation having kaolin in it (Meow's don't though right?) and my sunscreen.

It sounds like you're doing everything right - primer, sheer coverage. are you using a powder or liquid primer? Maybe a powder primer would help? Do you use a setting powder?

I wonder if there's something you've changed in your routine (or a change in the weather) because you used to love it and now it does this. I hate it when that happens!

I haven't changed any of the products I'm using recently. I do use Laura Gellars gel primer though, so perhaps I will try a powder primer like you suggested. Might as well give it a shot! As it is, I've almost given up putting MMU anywhere around my nose. I know the pampered puss version of Meow doesn't have kaolin in it...and you'd think since it was a semi-sheer formula it wouldn't cake. Grrr! Are there any powder primers you'd suggest? Thanks!!

Re: Mineral makeup gathering by nose

you could try applying the foundation to the bridge of the nose and very lightly applying a dryer textured concealer to the sides if it needs covering of redness..if not just lightly spread the foundation from the bridge of your nose with your fingers. With any luck there wont be much foundation there to collect xx
