New PF Organic mineral line

So has anyone tried it yet? I saw it yesterday and am impressed with how much they did get right for a drugstore line. It looks decent and the price not bad. I am lemming the blush and pressed powder. It doesnt have dark colours except I guess the bronzer options.

Organic beauty products are not regulated by the FDA like food is. Therefore, there is no such thing as an organic shampoo, make-up etc. Anyone can put the word Organic on a beauty product and it can be just as bad or worse for you than the synthetic stuff.

Re: New PF Organic mineral line

I will say I have been doing some experimenting with organic beauty products before I knew about the fact that they werent regulated. I tried an organic shampoo by the brand ABBA. It was awful. It dried my hair out so bad. I do use a soap though from wal-mart that is free of parabins and sulfates. The soap is pretty good but it isn't as soft as say, dove.

According to the PF site they are using European standards for organic rating not the USDA which is more for food. There isnt really one for cosmetics.

I tried the Rosy blush today and I really like the colour but I had to use so much with my MAC 129 brush to get any to show up. I will try a different brush but overall I really liked how it looked.

I had also read elsewhere that their organic blushes have hardly any pigment at all. They barely show up on your face. I think I'll pass on this product.

Re: New PF Organic mineral line

i bought it because I like the idea of buying MMU at a store better than buying it online and paying for shipping.

I'm iffy about their tinted moisturizer. It went on smoothly, but it didn't seem to absorb quickly into my skin. I had to dab some of the excess off, but after that it was fine and the color stayed all day.

I love the pressed powder though! For me, they had the right shade and it went on so nice and smooth.

I will definitely be buying their products from now on.

The makeup is organic. Yes, the government (USDA) does not regulate cosmetic products, but there are organizations (such as EcoCert) that does certify things. This line of makeup is organic (no GMOs, no pesticides, no chemicals used). Plus, the products are not tested on animals, are safe for vegans to use, and they come in eco-friendly packaging.
