I was wondering how the Milani mineral makeup was. Thanks for sharing your review!

Have you used other MMU brands before? How does it compare?

Re: OMG,Miliani Minerials....

I can't wait to read the ingredient listing. The advertisment says "mineral based," it sounds suspect. This usually means chemical additives.

Re: OMG,Miliani Minerials....

Well it does have bismuth, but not everyone is irritated by this ingredient, myself included. I checked the ingredients and it seems okay. At least it doesn't have weird-sounding, hard-to-pronounce ingredients, and it doesn't contain parabens.

Minerals Loose Makeup | Milani | Beauty & Spa | Walgreens

Ingredients
Mica CI 77019 , Bismuth Oxychloride CI 77163 , Titanium Dioxide CI 77891 , Iron Oxides CI 77491 - CI 77492 - CI 77499 , Ultramarines CI 77007 , Carmine CI 75470

WOW Perwinkle, if this is what they have for ingredients they have have the best MMU in the mass market as far as I'm concerned.MMU is cropping up all over the place and I always pick it up and take a look at the ingredients. As with all makeup I check that.......then I look to see if they have shades for darker women like myself. I'm sure they'll get a plus for that (Milani) All the other lines I've seen in the stores fail on both those levels as far as I'm concerned. I'll have to check them out,Milani is only sold on the base here in Anchorage so I'll take a look the next time I'm out there grocery shopping!

I should have checked the Walgreens site BEFORE I wrote....... I wouldn't be able to wear ANY of the shades they have on the site. They're all way to light for me

Re: OMG,Miliani Minerials....

Candace, I so agree. I was actually surprised myself when I read the ingredients, I thought it would contain ingredients like Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, and Butylparaben like what I've been reading on labels of other "store-based" MMU. We MMU "purists" can give Milani a thumbs-up on their ingredients alone.

Re: OMG,Miliani Minerials....

EXACTLY Periwinkle! Once you look at the ingrdients it's easy so see the companies that have REALLY looked into the benefits of MMU as opposed to the companies just jumping on the bandwagon to make money....for now! In a year or two years time those will be the exact lines that are discontinued because the "fad" is over!
