Planning to press my EDM foundation

Hi, I saw alot of pressing eyeshadow pigments tutorials on youtube and would like to use the same method to press my EDM foundation, however, all pressing methods involes ALCOHOL. So my question is: Does the alcohol really evaporate COMPLETELY?
I mean, with eyeshadows, a little bit of alcohol on the eyelids is totally fine to me but on the entire face, er... I am a little bit skeptical.

Re: Planning to press my EDM foundation

Hello! I'm not sure if this applies to mineral foundations too, but mineral eyeshadows don't have binders, therefore, they are unable to be pressed like MAC pigments. You can always try, and if it doesn't work, you can try one of these threads:

After unsuccessfully trying to press mineral eyeshadows, Momo started this thread in which she found other alternative methods:
Pressing MINERAL powders
Yay!! pressed some e/s in a palette - pic inside

Hope that helps you!

i tried pressing my EDM foundation with alcohol and it absolutely did not work. it didn't bind together. enkore has a video on how to press mineral makeup which i suggest you watch on youtube before you attempt pressing your own makeup.

Re: Planning to press my EDM foundation

The alcohol evaporates and shouldnt bother your skin. You need to use a binder to hold the powder. You can try glycerin or I use an eye serum from Avon. Worked great for all my blushes.

Re: Planning to press my EDM foundation

ok, i did try to press my EDM foundation with alcohol a while ago and it DID bind together, however, what you have to do is press it several time. What I did was I mixed my foundation with alcohol, left it for a while and then I pressed it while it's still a bit damp, I left it for a while more and pressed it again, then I kept repeating doing this for several more times and left it somewhere until it's completely dry.
