Unhappy How to apply Everyday Minerals concealer? It looked great for an hour!

Ok, so I ordered the sample kit a few months ago, and didn't really love anything. I picked up the peach concealer again today, just to give it a shot. I just bought Bobbi Brown's color corrector in peach, and loved how well it covered p my dark circles, but it didn't give the most natural look, I think I may have applied too much though.

For about an hour, the EM peach concealer looked amazing. It was the first time that a concealer actually looked natural, and the dark circles were covered, not still slightly visible under the makeup. I checked the mirror about an hour after I put on the concealer, and it looked terrible. I'm used to seeing minimal creasing, but this was horrible. I'm 24, and it made my skin look incredibly wrinkled, it gave me wrinkles I didn't have and turned this weird color, it just looked miserable. Does anyone have any better luck with this concealer? Or another peach mineral concealer? When it looked good, it was the most natural looking concealer I've used. I'm mourning the loss of what I thought was my hg concealer? Please help!

Re: Please help me be able to wear Everyday Minerals peach concealer!

how did you apply this concelaer? wet? dry?
usually powder concealer not good for me. I tried some in the past. but its not work for me.
maybe I will give it more shot..but for now I use in Jane Iardale's concealer and really like it.
I have a pigmantation near my lips and Its cover me very very well.

Re: Please help me be able to wear Everyday Minerals peach concealer!

Applying the concealer dry isn't the best idea, at least with those i have.

Try spraying some water on the concealer brush (i use a synthetic one), then pick up some product, and apply on your eye contour.
My personal method is i apply one coat before my foundation, and one coat after. I don't know if i'm right or wrong, but it seems to help blend the color.

You may also want to try to apply the concealer with the brush and then gently tap with your right finger to blend.

Re: Please help me be able to wear Everyday Minerals peach concealer!

Mineral concealer does not work for my undereye area at all. It makes my eye area look 100 years old. It makes my skin very wrinkled, dry looking.

This is not a mineral product, but Coverblend Concealer is awesome. CVS had it and I picked it up one day just to try it. They don't have it at my store anymore. You can get it at many online stores. It doesn't crease. It's creamy and opaque. I have to use a very small amount.

I don't think any concealer can completely hide dark circles, but this one works the best for me. Believe me, I've tried every concealer on the planet.

The only way I can wear minerals under my eyes without it aging me is to mix it with moisturizer. Turn it into a liquid.

Thanks for the help, I applied it wet the first time and it still looked miserable. Maybe I'm using too much? Katnahat, that's such a good description of how it looked! I think I looked 105 years old though. :P I'll try applying it with a moisturizer, hopefully that will help. Coverblend Concealer, huh? A concealer that doesn't crease is something I need to buy!

Hmm. So try it wet lightly, and if that doesn't work, mix it with moisturizer... (taking notes).

Maybe try mixing it with visine the same way you would pigments? I tried the peach concealer and it looked awesome on me as well but the same thing happened. I was looking at this morning as a matter of fact and I'm going to try it tonight and see how it looks first.

I agree to try mixing it with Visine or moisturizer.

Re: Please help me be able to wear Everyday Minerals peach concealer!

Well, it kinda worked but it creased again. I'm going to try again becuase I think I used too much visine so the too wet consistency didn't look right.
