Re: Pure Luxe - I tried it finally!!!

Hi Simi- Eraser is a really, really good product! It is just like a regular concealer basically, but they formulate it really nicely so that is does a good job covering up redness, blemishes, dark circles, etc. I have Eraser in both the powder version and the other (pressed?) version and I like them both, but I think I prefer the powder version just a little bit more. I am glad that you got a good match in Pure Luxe. Their foundation does not seem to get much discussion here, but I think it is pretty good and I found my match in it immediately. I would definitely say that you should order a sample or Eraser, or maybe just go right for a full size- it is that good. Oh, and their eyeshadows are beautiful too- I have about 20 of them and like them all.

Re: Pure Luxe - I tried it finally!!!

I want to try Pure luxe too. But i am too impatient to wait for samples and so on.
My skin is fairly light peach and cream, not cool and not golden/yellow. What do you think my fooundation match would be i Pure luxe, then?
Powder eraser? I thought it was a cream (eraser)...?

Re: Pure Luxe - I tried it finally!!!

To follow up my earlier post, I looked up more information on Eraser on Pure Luxe's website. I had to refer to the website since it has been awhile since I have looked over all of the types of Eraser they offer and wanted to make sure I got my information correct.

1. They have their original (gel/cream) formula of Eraser in slightly tinted, probably enough to help blend away redness and dark circles and blend into whatever shade of foundation you are using.

2. In the same gel/cream formulation they have Eraser color correctors in lavender, yellow, and green to correct specific skin discoloration issues.

3. They they have Powder Eraser in three shades- Original (VERY slightly tinted), Medium, and Deep. These are available in sample jar, 10 gram, 20 gram, and 30 gram jars.

To citre: I have never used Monistat Anti Chaffing for primer, but I can tell you that Eraser makes a really great primer. I would say order a sample(s) and just try it out to see what you think, since everybody here seems to like vastly different products. But, in my humble opinion, I think it's really good. As a rule, I think Pure Luxe is underrated as a brand, but again, that could just go back to what everyone prefers to use.

Re: Pure Luxe - I tried it finally!!!

Thank you TwinMommy311 for the pm. Very nice information....
I have been thinking (surprise!),and i am going to order samples to begin with. I may have to mix shades to get a match. I wrote earlier in my previous post that i have no yellow nor cool in my skintone, but its the opposite. I have both! And they are very muted. So in general it is hard for me to find a good match in foundation.
I cannot claim to be in some sort of makeup crisis, and just rush away and buy the full size in a color i "think" is a match . B/c i already have a lot of very good MMU (from EDM,Signature minerals,Lumiere, +++)
Sooooo,i will just take a deeep breath, slow down, and order some samples...

I've only ever tried the eye shadow from Pure Luxe, I really must try their other make up. Everyone seems to love it.

I have to agree! Pure Luxe is sooo underrated. When I tried my foundation samples, I was very pleased with the result. Nobody has been talking about how good the PL foundation wass so I was not expecting too much. But Pure Luxe is just WOW.

Unhappy Re: Pure Luxe - I tried it finally!!!

Hi all,
so many good reviews about PL. I am new here and am very new to mineral makeup. Just a month ago I bumped into another forum and read so many nice and good effects about MM. I was tempted to try it and ordered it online from PL. I was so excited and got my stuff after about 15days.
I tried marlene for the first time. It oxidised on me alot and I looked darker. I tried caramel, suntan, cocoa..all gave me the same effect. I have oily skin and it made it worse..more oil and shine.
I tried warm honey it was good but it didnt last for a few hours. I am a person who perspire alot on my face. I got to stand near the fan to cool my face before application. I do not have a problem with the application though but thought that it controls perspiration!!! huh!!! but it didnt. I still want to try MM. I orderd from cory and am waiting for the stuff to come.
Any advice from anyone out there. Its quite cool to try out MM but the amount of money spent on international shipping is alot!!!. The weather here in singapore is so humid. With all the oil and perspiration on the face do you think I can be someone who will say WOW to MM. Hope to hear from you ladies.
I am happy for all the ladies out there that PL worked for you.
Thanks in advance.

hello emma! i used warm honey too and the shade is spot on. the only prob i have is getting it to stay on my face for the entire day. like you, i live in a hot and humid country, and i find that monave works best for these conditions for reference, i use monave cecilia or canela hth!
