Rave: Maybelline's Mineral Concealer

Hi all,

I went shopping for a few supplies this week (Rite Aid is having a buy one get one free on Mabeline and a few other brands) And I picked up the new Mineral concealer by Mabeline, just cause' my mineral foundation wasn't quite covering my blemishes.

Well let me tell ya, I LOVE this stuff!!!! Best concealer I have ever used! It's very, very light. Has the consisentcy of liquid foundation. I found that by dabbing it on with the little applicator (it's in a small tube) Then just patting my finger over it works best. It covered alllllll my acne marks and blending away, perfect with my other brand of mineral makeup I use.

I went to my work party last night and even the estiician (sp*) at my salon (I'm a hair stylist) asked what I was using, she couldn't believe my face looked so flawless. Which it never does lol.

Thought I'd share and see if anyone else has tried it. I bought the sand color and worked great on my fair skin since I use a deeper mineral makeup.

forgive my spelling it's late lolll

Re: Rave: Maybelline's Mineral Conclear

I have it, but I bought the lightest shade they have. Its too light for me, I think. It does have good staying power though. But its sort of hard to blend.

Do they have colors suitable for african americans? Or Latinas? Basically people darker than "tan"

Re: Rave: Maybelline's Mineral Conclear

Their color shades seem to be limited in their mineral line. They dont have a real fair shade or deep shade. If you're medium toned, you're in luck. They will definitely have a shade for you.

The concealer i bought was too light, even though it was supposed to be the same shade as my foundation (maybe it was even a shade darker?). But the concealer would be a perfect match for me a foundation!

Re: Rave: Maybelline's Mineral Conclear

I'm pretty fair skined (blonde & blue eyes) I was going to get the ivory or the lightest they had but changed my mind since I do like my makeup 1 shade darker. I bought SAND and the color worked great! So maybe seeing it's minerals, we need to go a little darker than normal? I do know I buy my mineral foundation from an awesome store on Ebay and I do buy that darker then I would when i used liquid.

Insensitive.... They do have a dark shade, called Latte. I'm not sure how dark it goes, but maybe that wouild work.

Re: Rave: Maybelline's Mineral Conclear

I'm tempted to try it after reading this. Can someone please tell me what shade I should get for my NC 25 skin tone? Thanks!

I want to try but I don't see this concealer on the European part of the site, only the US. So not sure I can get it

I'm NC 20 and bought two in "fair" and "ivory". fair is a great match for me (pinkish tone) while ivory is slightly too light (more yellow & beige tone). so i think fair would be your closest match. HTH.
