Which shade in Lumiere for a fair girl?
Hi, me again.
![]() I was looking at the Lumiere foundations and wondering which tones/depths to go for to sample. I'm very fair (not the palest, but almost) with no real pink undertones, more a subtle golden/peachy undertone. I can wear Everyday Minerals in Golden Fair and Fairly Light Neutral (though that's a bit too beige). Any advice from ladies who have tried this brand who are of similar complexion to me? I'm an English girl, so my yellow tones aren't too strong..hope that helps.

You sound like you have a skin tone like me! I'd recommend either fairly light or light beige (depending on just how fair you are
). Light beige worked for me. I'm very fair skinned, with warm undertones but not really too yellow. I'm more peach. Just remember that the luminesse foundations run darker than the others!Edit: are you golden or yellow with your slight warm tones? golden is more red than yellow. So if you are actually golden the light golden might work too. Either way I'd sample light or fairly light golden and beige. |

Hmm, I would say more golden, rather than true yellow, so I'll try the golden range as well. Thanks for your advice!

Re: Which shade in Lumiere for a fair girl?
In my experience, the warm colours are more reddish than the golden ones, which have a softer, more yellow undertone. I'm more neutral myself, and actually, my best choice so far is their 2.3 medium beige, but I would like sth. slightly darker.
I would recommend the beige range, as the tones there are rather balanced, but not way off in any direction. For reference, I'm Scandinavian, light/medium, with brown hair and dark blue/green eyes. Forgot: I recommend the light beige and probably also the light golden. Both are very nice colours. ![]() Last edited by Nemi : 05-17-2008 at 02:57 AM. |
