Signature and Everyday Minerals
Hey,
I'm a newbie here and pretty much new to the mineral makeup as well. I'd like to know what are your reviews on the Signature line and ED minerals. I am eager to order their sample kits to try out. Also what do you think of their eyeshadows? Thanks!

Re: Signature and Everyday Minerals
Both signature and everyday minerals are great brands. As far as foundation is concerned they are equal in my mind, but EDM does have wider range of selection. EDM also has the intensive, semi matte, matte, and glo options whereas Signature has one semi matte formula. But the quality if about the same. I would order a smaple kit from both companies and see which one you feels suits you better. If you get a finishing powder from Signature, get any of them except the Translucent. (the translucent powder is weak, but the rest of them are good)
Eyeshadows; Signature has amzing eyeshadows. They last all day and they have gorgeous colors. I haven't tried EDM's yet so hopefully someone else can help you there.

Princessmich, I noticed you are also from Canada. There is a Canadian company called Buff'd that is pretty good, they have great e/s though! I wasn't able to find a perfect match for foundation and ended up mixing like 3 or 4 colours, after a few sampling orders I was able to find a pretty good match; Wool. They offer free samples which is an awesome deal; but more importantly they even pay for the shipping...shipping is free=no out of pocket $$$!! They do offer a really wide range of foundation shades too and their e/s last all day. Another plus is that everything is in Canadian $$'s so there's no headache of converting dollars to pesos (lol).
Well, back to Signature and EDM...I tried both of those companies and wasn't able to fall in love with either one of them. I actually am going to give EDM another shot; just ordered the "original glo" formula since I didn't really like the "intensive", too matte/dry looking for me. Regarding Signature, the colours that I picked for my sample kit were all too dark, although they are supposed to be some of their lightest colours, weird. I also didn't really care for their finish, also too dry/matte for me. I prefer the "glowy/dewy" look as opposed to the matte-look. But if you don't mind that, I would try Signature too, you might really like it. If you can be a little more specific about your skin-type, shade (undertone), and what your looking for in a foundation; coverage, finish, etc., there are some really great girls on MUT that would probably love to help you out regarding all your questions and concerns. Good luck, HTH!!

oh, and I forgot to mention that EDM's staying power didn't impress me either...almost every other brand I've tried has beat them in that department...hope I like the original glo formula...

Re: Signature and Everyday Minerals
OOO I highly recommend signature mineral's eyeshadows. Great pigment, and they don't run when you add a little water on top of your initial application. The samples are a nice size too. I would definitely order more shadows from them. My favorite is driftwood.

Re: Signature and Everyday Minerals
Hi girls,
Thanks for your suggestions. I am really getting excited..lol I'm so happy I found this site...you are so awesome.
Sunny101, yup I'm living in Scarborough, isn't that cool. By the way, I checked out the buffd website and I emailed them for some samples however don't you think that their products are a bit pricey. Seems like they have a good selection of colours though which is a good thing. I should have mentioned my aunt uses Bare Escentuals and she had gave me some to try but the foundation made my face itchy however I loved the Mineral Veil but I just discovered that the preservatives they use such as parabens are no good for the skin especially If you're trying to avoid the nasty chemicals used in conventional cosmetics.
I will probably still go ahead and order the sample kits from Signature and ED Minerals.
Hey dear,
Unfortunately I'm not able to view the links you posted for me, remember I'm a newbie & must have 10 posts before I'm able to view.....lol

Hey Princessmich, that's so cool...I'm also in Scarborough. Small world, huh? I'm actually at Warden/Finch Ave., I wish the BE had more colour varieties for their foundations...I love their glow and the "itch" didn't get me at all. I also love the mineral veil, although I'm in the market for a finishing powder with more "glowy" properties. Anyways girl, get posting!!!

Yes I'm sure they will add up that's if I can get my 3 year old son & a 10 1/2 month old baby to sleep as often as I would like them to. This mineral makeup stuff is very interesting so now is the only time I get to be on the PC...lol

Re: Signature and Everyday Minerals
I have not tried Signature Minerals, but have read great things about it. Everyday Minerals is currently my HG. I own over 5 full size foundations and mostly all of their blushes! I found a perfect color match and I can wear most of the formulas they offer. They last all day on me and it looks natural and gorgeous. The sample kit is very generous.
