Question Signature Minerals? Anyone try?

I got a sample kit today and I have to say I am super pleased with the staying power and finish I get. My face did not get oily at all. I tried two of their e/s too, and they didn't get all oily on me either.

Has anyone ever tried SM? Please elaborate. Thanks!

Re: Signature Minerals? Anyone try?

I had the same sucess as you. I tried them in the past and loved them. I ordered again and recieved my kit today, and will try them out again tomorrow. I re-ordered samples because they released a new pale shade, and a glow finishing powder. I can't wat to try them out tomorrow! I will post with pics in the morning. =)

Citre, I know you've been on the mineral veil hunt, let me know how their new one is.

Re: Signature Minerals? Anyone try?

I've tried their foundation and some of the veils although not the new radiant one. I think the foundations are organized pretty well and pretty easy to find your match - MUCH easier than EM's. Signature foundation also stayed on my face much longer than EM's did. EM was getting patchy just a few hours after I put it on and Signature was much closer to staying on all day. However, the coverage of Signature's is quite light to me. It takes a ton of product to get the degree of coverage that I need. I don't use it any more because it just feels like I'm piling powder on my face with it.

I tried their new Radiance veil and... I'm in love!
Will post pics later, after I fix my hair. :P

I found a new shade that matches my skin - 7.0, weirdly enough! LOL

Oooh, I am waiting to see these photos! I tried the 7.0 and it was kind of orangey on me? that was a while ago though - it could have changed a bit in shade. I settled on the 5.3 - I am usually a light/medium beige so that worked fine.

my face was crap today, so i'll try again tomorrow. ii came to find the the 7.0 was too orangey for me actually. :/ i will try the 1.0 or i might just stick to the 2.3 that worked on me before. i think i need more coverage though. i need to try their concealer!

I totally understand - the 7.0 was orangey on me too - I don't know why. My mom wears the 2.3 also. Was the new porcelain one too light on you? Oh and I tried their concealer - the multi tasking wasn't as good on me as EM's spring concealer - but I see Signature has a new bisque one now too.

Re: Signature Minerals? Anyone try?

For reference I am NC 40 in MAC
I used:
Mineral foundation in 9.0, 11.0 and 8.3 and 11 is my perfect match, the staying power is amazing and the finish is very pretty.
I also used Multi-Tasking Concealer and I loved it.
Their blushes are to die for and I used Adobe Sun,Damask Pink, Desert Rose, Roseberry and Desiree Peach, my favorite is roseberry but they are al gorgeous.
I used Champagne from their pearl eye colors and the staying power is excellent, one day I have used it without UDPP and it lasted from 7 am to 7 pm without fading or creasing.
I have the mineral veil in Angel wings and translucent and they r both excellent!!
HTH!!

Me too! The 5.3 seems to be the one for me. I did get the 2.3 - light beige and want to try that too. I also got 7 medium light, which is the darkest of the 3... in the event my body tans, I have to have a face to match.
Edit: I used the 5.3 again today and I guess because I added an extra layer, I noticed in the natural light that it didn't match my neck.

chocobon - thanks for the info about their blushes! and when I used my e/s, i didn't use a primer either and they were great.

FYI - whenever I'm trying a new product, to be fair, I don't use another brand or primer along with it. I want to see what the product does for me on it's own.

Re: Signature Minerals? Anyone try?

I absolutely love their foundation! The finish and stayingpower was so exellent that i actually threw away my rule about not mixing shades to get my match. I found that 2 parts nr.1 ivory and 1 part nr.2 light was as close at perfectly my shade that i have ever got. A tiny bit to dark, but now they have the new shade, porcelaine,so i know i will be able to correct it.
The blushes are so beautiful, also! I love adobe sun, rose and dusty mauve.
Aaand their eyeshadows are really great,i escpesially love their mattes.
Love love love their veils.
