Those who travel with their mineral makeup
What accessorie do you use to keep your kabuki brush protected, and how do you keep your foundation from making a mess when you open it.

Re: Those who travel with their mineral makeup
Um... I just toss my kabuki, my jar of foundation, and all my other makeup in a gallon-sized ziplock bag and I've never had any problems... especially since my suitcase is usually stuffed full so the mu and brushes don't roll around and hit against each other! lol If you are worried about your kabuki, I've seen special kabuki brush holders -- my local CVS had some in a display with Essense of Beauty kabukis!

Re: Those who travel with their mineral makeup
if I were to travel I usually carry my MU case (I have the one from caboodles, at target I think I got it for like $19.99 or you can get smaller ones for less)

Re: Those who travel with their mineral makeup
if you want to protect your brush, maybe you could roll up a piece of paper almost as big as the brush and just slide it over the brush part so it will protect the hair from going everywhere. Just a thought

Re: Those who travel with their mineral makeup
my kabuki brush is actually the Dior Bronzer brush, and it comes with a plastic cover that slides into a velvet bag. I actually leave it this way most of the time (unless I'm cleaning them), because it keeps the bristles dense.
I was just thinking- you could put it in the middle of toilet paper tube, and then bag it to keep it from getting ruined! |

Re: Those who travel with their mineral makeup
I just found a Kabuki bag it's called (Kabaggie) $4.99 at this site SilkyMakeup.com and click on cosmetic accessories here's the highlite:
Use this adorable Kabaggie to carry your Kabuki brush; this great bag is small enough to fit inside your purse! You can also fit a travel size jar inside so you can carry around your foundation also for those "quick makeup fixes" during the day! You can even use it for a travel bag for any of your personal items! Take along your nail clippers, your lip gloss, lipsticks, chapstick, throw your hair clips in there... You can probably think of 1000 uses for it! Cleans easily with a moist towel! Measures 8cm x 6cm x 4cm Any one used this bag before. Sounds like it's what I'm looking for. Re: Those who travel with their mineral makeup
I just use the little plastic case that my 182 brush came in. But that Kabaggie is sooo cute! I might have to invest in one of those!

Re: Those who travel with their mineral makeup
I have a brush set thas has a zipper pouch on 1 side that holds a kabuki & a few 5 G jars etc. In a pinch, use a small ziplock to protect it.

Re: Those who travel with their mineral makeup
I don't know why it took me so long to respond but I have these louis vuitton knockoff cases that I keep my makeup in when traveling. If you pack them right, nothing moves.

Re: Those who travel with their mineral makeup
I needed some advice on traveling with mineral makeup too! They made a mess in my tote because they get bumped around so much on the plane, and I had a bunch of blush powder on my fingers when I tried to open my passport. A ziplock bag sounds good... Not sure if I want to pay anything more than nothing for a makeup holder. :S

Re: Those who travel with their mineral makeup
I don't open my foundation all the way, I just cut off about 1/3 of the protective seal and that way I only shake out as much as I need, and it doesn't spill as much either.

Re: Those who travel with their mineral makeup
Where can I find empty MMU foundation closeable swril sifter containers. It's the one where you open the sifter and then close it back after using. I heard BE have this, but i went to their site and they only sell the kits. This sounds like a good idea to keep the MMU from shifting everywhere.
