Question What did you do with your un-matched foundation samples?

Ok, i'm sorry if this topic has been discussed before, i couldn't find any related thread about this (maybe it's just me)...but i have a question.

What did you do with your wrong shade foundations samples? (I understand you would probably toss away the samples which cause you breakouts or irritations)

For example, I have some shades from EDM which are too light for me, and some from Signature Minerals that are too dark...can I mix them to find a match shade for me? Is it safe?

Thanx guys !

Re: What did you do with your un-matched foundation samples?

I would do the same thing. I have a dark shade in my liquid foundation and when I use it I mix a lighter one (which I have a lot of, surprisingly). I too have EM samples that are too dark and I will mix them eventually when I need them.

I was worried on the ingredients mixed together...who knows it may cause reaction which eventually will react on my skin...

hahahaha or is it me who worries too much?

These companies use pretty much all the same ingredients. They just get them from difference source suppliers and use them in different concentrations.

Re: What did you do with your un-matched foundation samples?

It's not like they're loaded with chemicals, so it's perfectly safe to mix them. I either mix them together to make a shade close to mine, or keep them for later so that if I ever order a full-sized jar that ends up being too light or too dark, I have something to balance it with.

I mix them just to try out new things. You never know when you'll find the next perfect combination!
