What other MM would I like?
I have found matches with Blusche and Mineral Boutique as well as J Lynne. Based on that what other lines would I like? My skin is getting to be combo after years of being dry sensitive.

Re: What other MM would I like?
You're lucky to have found three HGs. I have dry sensitive skin as well and like pretty sheer coverage, and Silk Naturals is great for that. Also has fantastic lipglosses, and finishing powders.
Also love love love Lumiere. They have four different foundation formulas, and none of them are bad - for dry skin, try FF, Luminesse, or Cashmere. Both have great eyeshadows (sorry, I'm a junkie). For more of those kinds of goodies, head over to MAD Minerals and The She Space. If you like pigments as much as I do, be prepared to drool. |

Re: What other MM would I like?
Thanks for the recs. I can't see the links yet but I think one is Lumiere. I like Lumiere but I dont think I have a match. I thought I did with a mix of Light Warm and Light Medium Warm in FF but I decided that I dont like to mix so I didnt even open them. Perhaps I will swap them. I tried the Luminess but it was a bit drying though my skin is now oilier. Silk I think bothers my face as I am still recovering from some weird patch.

If you're having a problem with silk, try Signature Minerals (non-linked, so you should be able to see it, and the web site is easy enough to work out).
I think it's six samples for $5, or something ridiculously cheap - and you can sample all of them if you like. Barefaced Minerals, MAD, and Valerie Beauty also come to mind. |

Re: What other MM would I like?
Thanks! I have tried these one except Valerie. MAD was too sheer but got a match with Light Golden. BFM didnt cover enough but got a match with Y3 but I love the lippie Styx. Signature was okay. I will test again as I was having a bad skin day for several days when I tested. By the way, I dont really have a HG with the ones I liked, just matches. Mbo is pretty good but its not as finely ground as EM.
I really wanted to get a match and HG with Lumiere but the silk scares me now. It was the EM tinted dust that made my face act up. |

Re: What other MM would I like?
Lumiere's FF, Veena, and Luminess foundations do not contain silk, but the Veena has oats in it (some people have a problem with that, for some people it helps calm their skin). A lot of the finishing powders do have silk, so you'd need to be careful there, but the only foundation that contains silk is Cashmere.
For full coverage, Cory and Buff'd are good, too. |

Re: What other MM would I like?
The Valerie minerals look promising. I think there are two matches I found but she is out of stock on some stuff. I tried Buffd and it is quite full but I could not find a match. She is coming out with a different coverage and more new colours.
As for the oats, I am a bit nervous about it as its so humid here with lots of mold problems so I wouldnt want to have it go off. I was drinking aloe juice for a few days that had gone off though I stored it in the fridge. The glass was dark so i couldnt see that it had mold in it. I didnt know how aloe juice tasted so I wasnt sure if it was supposed to be like that til I notice the black stuff in the juice. EEEWWW!! But I think the Val minerals are going to be my next sampling. Thanks! |

Re: What other MM would I like?
Ah, you must be on the left coast too (I won't be in the US for another five weeks, despite my flag).
Know the feeling. Haven't had any MMU go bad on me yet because of it, though, but maybe I've just been lucky. Even some of Lumi's blushes have a bit of oat powder in them, and they're still fine. I don't use the VV foundation though - way too heavy a coverage for me. OUCH on the aloe juice. I've found there are grocers around here who don't hesitate to sell things that are way past the sell-by date, though, which is pretty gross. I always double-check the packages if I'm in a shop. |

Re: What other MM would I like?
That was my fault as I must have contaminated the bottle somehow. So many buildings here have been destroyed by moulds. I decided energy savings be damned as if I didnt turn the heat on at least sometimes, it would at least control some of the mould buildup.

Re: What other MM would I like?
Pure Luxe's face products are amazing!
The powder foundation is so creamy on your skin - its the only one i can use in the winter when i have dry skin. If you use it with one of their primer powders and the translucent finishing powder your skin will look airbrushed. These will benefit your skin too - and dont contain any of the 'warning' ingredients that other companies may use (the ones you can be allergic to or that cause itching). The silk primer powder will draw moisture into your skin due to the properties of silk and the eraser primer powder hides fine lines, imperfections and pores without clogging your skin. |
