Monday morning I woke up, and my lips were dry, cracked and swollen. I have no idea what could have caused this! I put on chapstick the night before, but it was the same chapstick I always use. I didn't eat anything that I don't normally eat, or was I out in the sun/harsh weather conditions. I can not find an explanation! Today (three days later) they are almost back to normal size, but still dry and flakey. Yuck. It feels like I have sand on my lips. Then, this morning, I woke up, and found a rash in the elbow crease on my arm!! Now, the redness has subsided, but it is still pretty bumpy. It seems like I am having an allergic reaction to something, but I can not figure out what! Is it possible to develop an allergy to something literally overnight??

One of my friends had the same problem, her lips were cracking and swollen and then she started having huge rashes all over her body. She went to the doc and they told her it was stress, they didn't prescribe her anything. I would just be careful with what you eat and maybe think back with what you could have touched/ingested.

Wow, interesting. I've been crazy trying to find the source because I don't have any allergies, I never thought of stress! Thank you!
