Re: Bladder infection and pregnant
Whoa time out, lol
1. Take tylenol for pain every 8 hours, acetaminophen is the only thing safe for us 2. make sure to take all the amox, so that the infect wont occur again and become resistant the next time 3.Drink plenty of fluids WATER and cranberry juice 4. monitor your baby's movements. If it is drastically less, go to the ER 5.Though I am giving you advice (cause I have a LPN license and I'm a mom of 3 and a half babies) Sometimes, forums argent the place to go, lol ![]() relax, calm down, you will be ok

Oh, no! I'm so sorry to hear that! I agree with Aprill's suggestions. I hope you get well soon.

Re: Bladder infection and pregnant
MissMissy, the worst thing you can do is NOT treat your infection. The antibiotics are not going to harm your baby.
With Olivia (18 month old), the doctor overlooked a kidney infection even after I *repeatedly* told him that I had one and we ended up in an *early* emergency c-section because he did not want the infection to cross the blood barrier and harm the baby (possibly even killing her). The good news is that someone listened to you and that you didn't wait too long and that you are on antibiotics. Take them faithfully and follow Aprill's advice. Don't fret, it WILL be ok ![]() Hugs, Brandi

Re: Bladder infection and pregnant
I hope everythings ok!
I agree with Beaglette and Aprill, even though I don't know anything about this subject, I know how bad bladder infections can get. Been there! and I would hate for it to turn into a kidney infection for you....... SO feel better girlie |

Re: Bladder infection and pregnant
Calm down! It won't bring the baby that soon! For God, who told you that? If it was that serious, they would have admitted you. I'm a family physician and practice prenatal care and I do call my pregnant patients when I see abnormal urine results so I can treat them or I do treat quickly if they are in pain that suggests UTI, but it's not that bad. Don't worry. Just take the antibiotics and monitor baby movements and everything will be fine!
