Im already hard of hearing, and I got a ear infection June 23 it plugged up my left ear completely, ( my deafest ear) and its still plugged ,took my antibiotics, done now.. so do u think this is permanent? eeek!

It's still plugged after taking your round of antibiotics? I would call or preferably go see your Doctor. I've had ear infections that required more than one run of antibiotics. I hope you feel better soon and that no more permanent damage is done.

I agree... go see a doctor.... you might need to have it drained.....

If it hasn't cleared up after the antibiotics, I would definetely go back to the doctor and check it out, as Karren said, you may need to get it drained. It may not though, better to check these things out though.

I guess it could take a few days for the blockage to clear? if it's still bothering you then go see the doc would be my suggestion

When I got sick a year ago, I had a really really bad ear infection, it messed me up really bad and I had hearing loss in both ears. I took antibiotics and all that and my doctor told me that it's just a lot of congestion and I would get my hearing back soon...I eventually regained my hearing a few months later.....yeah
