![]() Give your feet a little more cushion for their pushin' Best for Sky-High Heels: Ball-of-foot cushionsWhat to look for A thin gel or foam cushion that covers the entire area around the ball of your foot and ideally reaches all the way back to the middle of your arch. We liked Dr. Scholl's for Her ball-of-foot cushions ($7.20), which generously support the front of your foot. Tester says "The balls of my feet are usually pretty sore by the end of the day, but these really took the pressure off. Now I want one for every pair of heels." Best for Sneakers: Memory-foam insoles What to look for Full-length insoles that provide addi*tional arch support. Bring your sneakers with you to the store so you can eyeball the fit, or ask if you can return an opened package if there's not enough room for the insole inside your shoe. We liked The 2oz. Miracle custom molding insoles by ProFoot ($7.40). The bottom layer acts as a shock absorber and supports your arch; the top layer is made of foam that conforms to your foot. Tester says "My feet tend to hurt when I run, but with the insoles, my sneakers were much more comfortable. I just cut them down to size, and voilà--ouch-free jogs!" Best for Open-Toed Shoes: Women-specific insolesWhat to look for Shorter, narrower sizes that won't crowd your foot in a skimpy shoe and metatarsal padding to take the pressure off the ball of your foot. We liked Dr. Scholl's for Her Sole Expressions ($9.60), made from a soft cushioning foam that can be worn in either flats or heels. Tester says "They gave me support along the entire length of my foot, but they weren't visible outside the shoe. The balls of my feet felt much less abused, even after a full day of teetering on high heels." Try this move to fend off foot cramps Place about 20 binder clips on the floor. (What else are office supplies for?) Using your toes, pick up one clip at a time and drop it into a cup. This will help prevent cramping by stretching the bottoms of your feet. SOURCE

Re: Fend off those foot cramps!
scary heels !!
for sneakers one stuff that helps me is to make sure the heel has a good shock absorber inside the sole, it makes a huge difference and you're able to wear your sneakers longer. Quote:
anyway i don't know if you can get that brand in Australia, but i bought some from the brand "compeed" at the pharmacy and i'm really surprised at how comfy they are. and they actually cost me less than the scholl !

Re: Fend off those foot cramps!
I too have tried the Dr. Scholl's ones and they didn't help for very long, maybe 20 minutes lol I dont wear heels very often though so my feet aren't very used to them anyway so they always hurt when I wear them for long periods of time.
