So I was out at one of our mines for a couple days...... And I love salads and after eating at the mine the previous day, a salad was a refreshing change on the menu, so I thought... Mine food is heavy and fattening so I ordered a large Taco Salad.... For lunch... and I thought that even if it wasn't as good as Wendy's then that's not too bad.... How bad could it be??

What I got was unbelievable.. I came in a tub... like 3 - 5 pound bulk nuts come in... And what they did was take a bag of Doritos and stomp on them (crush them.. Lol), dumping then in the bottom of the tub. Then added about an inch of letuce... A couple chunks of tomato, a little shreaded cheese and then covered the entire mess with cold, canned chilly....

I worked my way through the chilly and ate the letuce in about 4 bites... Then all I had left was soggy Doritos covered with cold canned chilly.... I ended threw it away.... and drinking my Diet Coke. Had to be the worst salad... the worst lunch I ever ate... Luckily I didn't have to pay for it... The mine did... lol

So anyone have any eating out horor stories?

well, here lunch often means sandwich. i never understood how a bakery (a BAKERY!!) could make such yucky bread. it wasn't even fresh ! let's not even talk about what was inside. and for the price i paid, that was a theft.

as for salads.... lots of lettuce, two slices of tomatoes, a few cheese cubes and a few turkey bits. shake and drown with yucky mayonnaise (or eat it raw if you don't like mayonnaise) and that's your lunch. i learned the lesson and i never buy salads. i make my own because i know two hours after i'm going to be hungry and the raw part kills my digestion.

oh and chinese/japanese food...don't even think about it. that's the kind of food i only eat in restaurants i know are reliable.

So we were standing somewhere in the middle of nowhere, it was about dawn and we were hungry like hell. So we found this small bakery or whatever it was called, and because I love everything with sugar I wanted donuts. My luck, they actually had donuts, I ordered 2, and the lady told me 'No you don't wanna eat them'.

When I asked why, she took the donut, and then I saw the plate it was on. There were dead flies, mosquitos and spiders...

Well... we all were't hungry anymore!

I too ordered a salad from some fast food place and it was disgusting. I threw it out after the first bite.

I went to a local restaurant here, where they made me a sandwich with a fresh grilled roach in it when I was like 10, hence my fear of roaches and their kin folk.

I had a sandwich from Wendy's in which the top bun waas soaking wet and slimy, like spit

Church's chicken is famous here for serving old chicken and frying it in old oil

This didn't happen to me, it happened to my sister. She ordered a chicken sandwich from somewhere (Hardee's, I think), and when she bit into, something made a popping noise in her mouth and then started oozing into her mouth. She took it out and it looked like something hard had burst. She took it up and complained and they said that it looked like the chicken had had a tumor in its breast!! EWWW! Needless to say, she never ate there again! LOL

OK call me seriously insane, but the worst thing I ever tried to eat was a Cheesesteak while in Philly. Something about watching this OBSCENE amount of fat drip off of it while they cooked it, prepared it and finally when I tried to eat it. OMG Just the thought of it makes me want to hurl! I took 2 bites of it because my ex is from Philly and he was so excited to have me try an AUTHENTIC PHILLY CHEESESTEAK. Lucky for me I told him I was full and he was more than happy to scarf the rest of it down.

I like some greasy food just as much as the next girl, but DANG that was cardiac arrest on a bun.

Er, back in El Salvador - I remember the first meal we ate there was Pizza Hut (haha, Americanized everywhere) - I swear to Gaw the sauce was actually damn blood. No one finished the pizza. I dunno if it was actually blood, but it had to tomato flavor at all! I think it was my mom who suggested it was some sort of bloody-sauce they used.

i take the occasion to ask officially if anyone like pepper on its veggies. i was at a restaurant with my parents and brother, and as i ate fries at lunch, i said for dinner i'd like some veggies. took us some time to find one serving veggies, ugh.
anyway i order it, and not only were they half cooked, but they were covered with pepper. rhaa, WATER !! so disgusting !



plus the hair in my miso soup, dark and curly, like those on that woman who served us. as for the overcooked meat, the sauce was sticky and had already cooled down. the sugar in it acted as a binding agent, and it was simply impossible to eat.

i know how you feel karren! lunch is my biggest meal of the day, so i really look forward to it! cold canned chili over soggy doritos just sounds disgusting! lol~
