Ok I have an 18 month old & a 1 month old I swear My Boyfriend looks at me & I get pregnant???? Im so done I do not want anymore babies so My question is this

Has anyone got the IUD or IUC mirena? or the copper? & did you gain alot of weight ? how long did you keep it in? & did it really work?

I wanted the shot but everybody I know who got that gained alot of weight so thats not an option & I'd do the pill thing but I always forget to take em & at the same time so yeah not an option either!!

If anyone can help me out that would be great thanks!!

The copper one won't make you gain weight, since it doesn't have hormones. You can try that one , or Mirena, which has hormones. Either way, IUD is good for you, since you're already a mom - IUDs are said to be better for women who already had babies.

Yeah I heard that Its just Im kinda scared of copper but Im still undecided but I need to make a choice fast ......lol!!!

I have a copper IUD, have had it for about 2 years now and the reason I got it was becauase I didn't want to take any hormones for my birth control method. So this was what my OB/GYN recommended at the time.

I'm a mother of two kids, so like somebody else mentioned, the IUD is better for women who have had vaginal deliveries. The insertion wasn't too bad.

I did not gain any weight when I got the IUD, but it did take my body some time to get used to it. My periods were very heavy and lasted longer (and lots of cramps) for about 6 months after getting the IUD than they became normal again.

Right now, my only complain about the IUD is that the strings can get itichy at times and they sometimes poke my husband...but other than that, I'm happy I got it.

hey momma i was wanting to get the mirena..but 2 people that i know really blew up..my sister in law gained alot of weight with it and so did my cousins sister...but you know everyones diffrent...hope yoiu figure it out before he gives you another look and BABY it is

aaah!! Thats my biggest fear lol gaining wieght hhm maybe I might try the copper one not sure yet!!

Check out with your ob-gyn, it'd be a good choice. Also , i think it might be cheaper - just be sure you don't have copper sensitivity.
