I have been thinking about pilates, but I’m intimidated. The machines look somewhat impossible and creaky, and the classes always feel like they are packed with the most taught and toned people on the planet. But long, lean muscles? Flatter abs? A clear mind? The benefits are too tempting! I’ve been looking for ways to make it work for me.
Then I ran into this DVD– Look Great, Feel Great: Plus-Size Pilates, and I’m definitely tempted. It’s supposed to be for “real women, not covergirl supermodels,” which I like, although I hate to think that plus people in general can’t be covergirls (hello, Queen Latifah?) There are so many women out there who are full-figured and get attention for their looks… but I digress. Ahem. You can choose from the Morning Workout, which is designed to invigorate you, the Midday Workout is great for legs and arms, and you can finish things up with the calming pilates workout for the end of the day, too.
Unfortunately, it’s not available yet. It’s going to be coming out on the 1st of April, and you can bet that I’ll be on Amazon to grab it on the very first day. I can’t wait to grab one for myself.
