Question about pilates

I just rent the "Pilates for dummies" from netfilx.
I want to know if I should do all the movement it teaches in beginner section everytime or if i can just pick whatever movement i would like to do.

Re: Question about pilates

It's best to do them as the DVD says, without skipping a move. At least IMHO. They all work on different parts of the body (I'm pretty sure without seeing it), so you don't want to only tone up your arms without working on your legs, or vice versa.

Re: Question about pilates

When you do the movements in a specific order, you are hitting all of the muscle groups. Picking and choosing will not be as effective as doing them all.

Re: Question about pilates

Yeah, it's best to do all of them. Even though we like some more than others...tough it out, you can do it!
