What is your workout routine?
I'm looking for a new workout routine and was wondering what everyone else does at the gym or at home?

Re: What is your workout routine?
Squats, dumbbells, side leg lifts and as much walking as I can. I can only do so much being pregnant.

Re: What is your workout routine?
I use the FIRM DVDs at home. I've been using them for about 5-6 years and really love them. They consist of cardio, weights and stomach exercises. I have so many! In the warmer months, I also ride my bike and run (not all the time b/c I hate to run but sometimes just to mix it up). I also walk my puppy.
For whatever reason, I am more committed at home than at the gym. Maybe because I can pick my own time to work out to my DVDs. When I went to the gym, I was at the mercy of the class time. I didn't use the machines as much at the gym.
Good luck finding what works for you. I don't love to exercise. I just love the way I feel when I do.

I use the turbo jam set at home, as well as Billy blanks Tae bo, Pilates the 10 minute solution, and Yoga, recently i got Budokon videos so i'll try those soon, its a combination of Yoga and Martial Arts.
My everyday routine consists of 3 hours of workouts. Cardio, resistance, weights, yoga, pilates and tae bo.

Re: What is your workout routine?
I just got an aero pilates machine and a fluidity bar... so I'm looking forward to starting them in about a week. I'm waiting until after my appointment next week to make sure everything is okay with my incision.
For workout tapes I like Zumba and Tae Bo. I want to try Turbo Jam but I don't have the dvd's yet.
I have a treadmill and a stationary bike too. I try to mix things up so I don't get bored right away. I haven't done anything since I had the baby though. She's a month old today. Like I said, after my appointment in a week. I'll be starting my workout routine.

Re: What is your workout routine?
For the last 5 months I would do my stationary exercise bike for 10 minutes, then go and do crunches, then lift weights, then back to the bike for another 10 minutes, then more crunches and then leg lifts...well I think they're called leg lifts?
But lately I've been walking our local track and doing about 2 miles on it, then I come home and do the elliptical for 10 minutes.
I really got great results doing the bike and I wasn't sure if I would, but I ended up losing 60 lbs. that way. So I would definitely recommend investing in a stationary bike.

It's so fun! I guess a latin or salsa type dance is a way to describe it. You can find it on ebay, and there's also videos of it on you tube. Search Zumba there or on google. Check it out. My best friend lost a ton of weight doing it after she had her baby.

Re: What is your workout routine?
At the gym, I do pretty much everything they offer except the stairs.
I mostly do cardio - and about 20 minutes of weights. Sometimes I'll play basketball. I'm usually there for 2-3 hours, so I get bored quick. I try to do any fat burning activities within the first hour and cool down with weights.
At home, I have the DVD for the Biggest Loser workout - but I haven't used it much. It's pretty good... gives ya different levels.

Re: What is your workout routine?
Mines simple enough, when i get off work, change and go straight to the treadmill. I don't allow myself to cut on the tv or do anything that might distract me. Thats it for right now.

Re: What is your workout routine?
do a run/walk circuit for cardio - 2.5 to 3 miles 5-6 days a week.
lunges - trying to work up to 5 sets of 20. right now at 2 sets
situps - legs elevated to target lower abs - 100 -130 every night
squats - 3 sets of 10 every other night (or using the squat machine after cardio - 3 sets of 15)
balance wheel - 30 reps every other night
side leg lifts (for obliques) 3 sets of 25 (most times i only make it through 2 sets)
push ups (i tried my my hubbies perfect pushups and even doing girl pushups it's super hard!) 3 sets of 10, working toward 3 sets of 15.
now i want and elliptical machine to add to my gym equipment. my son wants me to get the p90x. anyone doing that yet?

Re: What is your workout routine?
I do one of my Ministry of Sound Pump it Up dance workout DVDs everyday. They're great, get you working hard and they're a lot of fun too. And Taebo 3-5 times per week depending on when I can fit it in. I lift dumbells aswell. Haven't been doing this long though so I'm not using particularly heavy ones but I'm not looking to bulk up anyway. Just get a bit more definition.
Other than that, I do 3 sets of 20 squats, 3 sets of 20 lunges, 2 sets of 20 leg lifts, 100 crunches and a few other floor exercises each day. Sometimes I will do the whole routine twice, once in the morning, once at night but it depends on how I feel. I do a bit of walking too but I've got no strict routine on this. I'd like to start doing a bit more though.
