Well its been a great business trip.. Last minute... Didn't really want to go.. But its my project and I know the data better than anyone... So yesterday afternoon.. drove down to Charleston WV with the boss and a coworker.. For a meeting this morning.. Ate at a Friday's and watched the Penguins loose...Sigh.......

Did have time after the game to do my D2B photos.. That was fun but didn't get to bed till 2am and planned to get up at 7 and clean up the mess.. (Yeah I'm a pig!)

And that's where the trip starts to go bad...badder.. Left the TV on and drifted off.. Woke up about 4am and the TV was off.. Strange.. So were the lights... And the power!!! Luckily I had my travel alarm clock along... But I kept waking up every hour so I slept like crap! Finally decided to get up at 6:30.. Damn power was still off.. Went to clean up and its so dark out that I can barely see so shoved all my makeup in a tote. What a mess!! Lol

Then went to take a shower in the dark.. No hot water!! So I used a washcloth and took a cold bird bath.. Brrrrr.. Got ready and met in the dark lobby.. No power = no breakfast... I really feel like crap.. No food.. No shower...

So we get in the truck and drive 10 miles back to the last exit to eat.. Then back again to the exit where we stayed for our meeting.. Lasted till 2pm and then ate lunch.. The power was back on by then so we went back to the hotel to get our reciepts.

Ok now were heading home and I'm in the back seat.. I take a little nap, stop for gas and we get about 5 minutes down the road.... Wham... Were stopped in a monster traffic jam.. In the rain. For almost an hour.. Finally we started moving.. A truck had lost control.. Taken out a couple cars.. Pretty bad looking!!

Then the guy working on my van called... Can't have it done when he said... Grrrrrrr... I'm going back to sleep...... Wake me up when we get home?

i had a trip out to california like that once! they had a conference at this place and the power was out they actually tried to have all the equipment (projectors etc) run by a generator!

Thanks!! Today is going great so far.. The sun is out.. After days and days of rain.. Supposed to start raining again this afternoon.. For days and days... And I'm on my way to go look at cars with the son! He's driving and I'm typing! Lol. Ekkkkk... Watch out for that bus! .

And 6 yards of mulch was delivered this morning so I've got lots to stay busy with this week... Hope everyone has a great weekend...
